It is slower now when shutting app the icon does a genie effect and sometimes glitches and acts slower and reduce motion makes it a slow blu it doesnt kill the animation how hard is it to just have optition no animation???
Man, this whole "slow-animation-thing" must have hurt you very deep inside?
And by the way, I can´t see this so-called genie effect nor do I feel, that the animations are slower.

I don't know if it's in that beta but I can know see an "Ethernet" tabs when connected on a Wired network.

I feel it takes more effort to add message reactions - like you have to hold on or 3D touch for a longer time for the "add reaction" pop up to show up. Not like I use them anyway but noticed it took more effort than last beta.

If anything, animations seem to be a touch faster with this beta. Certainly not slower than the last, not sure where people are getting that. Overall, incredibly smooth and quick for a beta. Final iOS 10 should really sing.

That's exactly what it is. The ability to save raw sensor data was added as an API call for third party apps. There's already an app that a developer made where they were able to capture raw images in an earlier beta.

Consider it this way: A few major versions back (iOS 7 or something?) Apple added an API feature for third party apps to control the camera at a low level, enabling things like Camera+ to control the ISO and shutter speed. These abilities were never added to the stock app (sadly).

As per WWDC, "During a WWDC session this morning, Apple revealed that RAW image shooting will be supported on the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, and the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro."

Yeah. I'd love a full manual mode in the stock camera app.

Anyway, on topic, I wonder if I'll get voicemail transcription this time. Theoretically I meet all the requirements (iPhone SE, T-Mobile US and Visual Voicemail) but no go, so far.

Boom! And they are working. Really accurate too.

Anyone else been missing artwork in the music app since beta 5? It was there in beta 4, vanished in 5 and is still gone in 6.
It's all present in iTunes on my mac, but isn't showing on my 6s.

There's still a chance it could be a surprise feature as part of the keynote. Dark Mode + Space Black new iPhone would definitely get cheers from the crowd.
Speculation: I see it as an opt-in feature for devs since it's not in this late-stage beta. Apple apps would use it at launch and simple apps could take advantage of it in a little update within a month.
I don't see it happening until the switch to OLED.

I mean this in all earnestness, not making a stupid "Safari seems snappier!" joke. Safari is much more responsive (better?) – pages don't take as long to scroll when switching tabs, reloading, etc.

Also, home screen folder animations are super quick, and the 3D Touch keyboard cursor is finally reliable enough to use regularly. Used to be that it wouldn't engage at least 30% of the time.

Yes! Some artists have a stock picture, but majority of my own files do not have artwork. I am not on Apple Music. My own files here.

Also, I us Picky as another Music Player app and artwork is all there.

I am actually amazed at how good this beta is. I tried beta 1 and immediately went back to iOS9 due to the lag/glitches/ugliness... but this is incredible.

Maybe they accidently toggled off the "planned obsolescence" switch on the 5S, because this is incredibly smooth

I totally agree. The previous beta sucked, but this one is another story. I hope GM keeps this way.

3d touch menu is opening after 1-2 seconds. is it a bug? Also fleksy keyboard behaves strange in this beta (it loads most upper numbers row with some latency). overall it feels slower. i'll give it a couple of hours to see if it's optimizing/reindexing staff in background.

ok it was background activity I guess. it is as smooth as the previous beta. haven't seen any bugs yet. also bugs in previous beta are fixed. fantastic.

One thing I don't like though - opening a folder and closing it, the blur is kind of low quality as it fades back to the home screen. This is more pronounced if you open a folder and quickly tap the home screen - the blur is really pixelated for some reason. Kind of a small thing that rarely happens admittedly.

I'm unable to turn iMessage and FaceTime on. I recently changed carriers and as soon as I inserted the new SIM I am unable to activate either iMessage or FaceTime.

I think I know what you're talking about.

When you press an icon and then double press the home button to go to the app switcher before the animation is done, it indeed goes to the home screen first. Definitely a bug. Will file a bug report of that, as it has been there for a few betas now.

Here's a video I used in my bug report to Apple, so you can see it too:

I don't think it's a bug. If you hit the app switcher so fast it's probably because you hit the app by mistake or don't want to use that app anymore, so they cancel the opening to save resources

That article mentions shooting RAW with 3rd party apps. Obviously we can't see or test that in beta because 3rd party apps can't update onto the App Store with that functionality yet until iOS 10 is officially released.
Exactly, it is not a camera feature, it is an API feature for third party apps, as Apple has stated.

However, we do know that it works since there are developers who have successfully saved photos as RAW and then posted them online. So the functionality works.
