Suddenly seeing massive phantom usage on my 5S... only settings I changed was toggling the "Holiday Events" in the Photo settings, which seems to do nothing at all, so I turned it off again... but the usage still climbs in standby constantly (seeing usage/standby parity at the moment).

Does Holiday Events work for anyone?

I am hoping that's the cause, and will do some testing later once my phone has charged.

I have had it on but seeing nothing that its doing. And no usage due to it. If you have stdby /usage the same its most likely an email acct or iCloud hung up. Probably if you close all apps and reboot the device it may help or toggle off email accts then either reboot and toggle back on or maybe just try off then on on the email accts. If its iCloud causing it may need to toggle it off then back on. Your battery stats should give you some indication what is using the battery.

Well, the Battery stats are not helpful for debugging, as under the hood issues won't necessarily appear there.

I've not changed my email accounts at all, and this issue only started after playing around the the Photo app & settings...

Yeah you dont have to change email for it to become an issue. Typically when it gets hung is just after an update and ususally when OTA was used. But it can get hung in a loop trying to access the servers. Most times resetting network settings will clear it but have seen simply toggling email off will as well and is easier. Esp if you have several wifi networks you use. That will cover other items as well other than just email but is a tad more trouble. Speaking of photos, is it trying to upload to Photo library by chance? Maybe its legit or maybe that process is hung up.

Figured my issue out - Diagnostics was generating endless stackshots - my storage was slowly going down too. Had 600mb of diagnostics in the end... wtf? Someone else had this issue too I believe

Have you figured out how to stop this? I think I'm having the same issue.

Doubtful. We're still on a beta build number, so there's at minimum one more build coming out.
What does that have to do with anything. Go check the final beta for iOS 9, iOS 8 and iOS 7. They are all beta build numbers. Beta number has no correlation with GM number. Also, while looking up those numbers go look up the gap between the final beta and the event. We're done with betas.

When connected to CarPlay and the map is showing detailed view it keeps zooming in and out all the time.
Seems to take much cpu from my iPhone SE so it almost won't charge while driving if map i displayed.
