I thought I saw a quote from Craig Federighi saying that the 3D Touch app switcher was coming back with this update? I miss it.

No, he said it will come back with a major point release iOS 11.x, not iOS 11.0.x.

How do you remove the dev. profile?
Profiles are found in settings/general/profiles then just delete it from there. I had to reboot after before the new update would show up. I will also say, I had the public beta profile installed, not the dev.

Many, many thanks! Googled it, but couldn't find anything useful.

Anyone else just updating with iTunes lately? OTA takes SO LONG I haven't done an OTA update in ages.

iTunes is far faster, especially with a wired gigabit connection at work.

iTunes is a 2.6GB file. At 1Gbps, or 125MBps, it takes 21 seconds to download.
OTA 286MB file. At 300Mbps or 37.5MBps, it takes 7 seconds to download. 3 times faster.

My network downloaded the OTA so quickly, I didn't even get an estimated time remaining, it just remained on "estimating time remaining" and went straight into preparing.

Also try doing a hard reboot:

Maybe that's needed to make sure the battery will start working properly. And having to wait for a few cycles.

I tend to wait a few days for this as well, but anecdotally after almost 2 hours of use and one hard reboot, my battery % drain seems to have stabilized to dropping 1% at a time in normal intervals for what task I’m doing and not jumping up multiple % when charging. I’m wondering if they fixed some kind of battery stat reporting error rather than actual battery drain. Again, too early to tell, but it’s looking good so far. (For the record, my weird battery behavior happened before and after a IPSW clean installation. It took this patch as an OTA.)

I am totally agree with you. After upgrading 11.0.1, i have been using it for 1 hour since i unplugged from power without powersave option. Battery is %90 now. So good till now.

why do we have to delete the beta profile to install this? I like staying in the beta for future minor beta releases
Because this is not a beta release and beta profile basically only allows for beta releases. You can always install the beta profile again.

11.01 on my 7 + is almost no different than 11..

I have no idea what other people are seeing. Its the same thing.Home button lag is there...

Cant trust anyone until you do it yourself now a days.

One definite change for me was with respect to problems with my apple watch after the update to watchOS 4. After that, until today, the badges in activity app weren‘t updated correctly any more. Also, I never saw the fireworks like animation after closing all three rings on my watch.
Both glitches were fixed with iOS 11.0.1.

It's not even so much about trusting as it is about different people sometimes having different experiences for one reason or another (sometimes even on placebo type of level).

It has nothing to do with trusting others. Every single person has their devices configured differently. There are hundreds if not thousands of variables that go into play. How many apps are opened, whats your RAM usage, did you restore as new, and on and on and on. Without a doubt, the issue is gone on my 8Plus. I tested it 40+ times. The real test will be my Air 2 this evening.

well i have like 10 ios devices, now i have to uninstall the profile on each one, reboot, install 11.0.1, reboot, install beta profile, reboot. I don't remember it being like this in iOS 9 or 10, they always pushed out even the small updates like this to public beta/dev users.....ugh

Can you post a video when you have the chance?

You can always provide feedback to Apple.

Okay, but if you plan on updating to 11.1 tomorrow, why not just wait? Seems silly to install 11.0.1 for less than 24 hours. Or leave the profile off and stick with public release of 11.0.1 for the time being. You are choosing to install 11.0.1, then 11.1beta 1 back to back. Clearly Apple designed it so you don't have to do that.
