Definitely works properly for me and has throughout the betas. Mute switch toggled on side of phone and alarm plays at full volume. You sure your alarm volume was turned up? Maybe you were connected to a Bluetooth device and the sound was trying to play through that?
[doublepost=1505769191][/doublepost]Just had my 7 become completely unresponsive to all input except gestures. Could not tap on anything and even holding the power button would not evoke the power down screen. Strangely, I could slide up for control center and down for Notification Center. Hard reset was required.

Very strange. I’ve just hard rebooted my phone and now it works again as usually. Thanks though

So they removed 3D Touch multitasking because of the iPhone X, but didn't include an alternative for everyone not on their new flagship phone.

Now, I don't really buy into the whole planned obsolescence thing normally, buy this is just plain old stupid. Why remove a feature to make room for another feature, if the other feature doesn't apply on most phones?
And they got rid of the extra buttons on the landscape keyboard. I really like all the empty space on both sides of it.

Overstated on the Air 2 I agree, but it's true about the 7 plus. Slowwwww animations.
I agree they have to work to smooth it out, but it’s been stable here on both my 7+ and iPad 10.5. I see it more on my 7+. Almost like they have to dial back and speed up the blur effect. It should be worked out in upcoming releases. I won’t go back to 10 because of it. Love the iPad 10.5 on 11.

Oh yeah it's very stable and the performance is really good, but the app animations are the only thing that needs work.

Anyone else having issues with messages when multitasking? I would say 50% of the time when i pull messages to the right side to multitask the bar for text entry doesn’t show up. I have to force quit to bring it back.

Still have issues with SwiftKey when logging into apps. Doesn't allow you to use saved usernames. It stays on Apples Keyboard.

Have you edit the Keyboard and move Swiftkey to the the top as a default? You may have to select it for some apps and from then it will remember to use Swiftkey than Apple keyboard

Today I made an interesting experience.

I updated to iOS 11 GM on Friday. Last night I set my alarm for today (Monday) to 6 am and put my phone into silent mode by using the silent switcher on the left of my iPhone 7 Plus.

When I woke up by myself this morning (ca. 8 am) I realized, that obviously the alarm clock in iOS 11 is automatically silent too when the phone is put into silent mode.

Has anyone else noticed this (bug) feature?

There was a bug like this. In iOS 10 , I experienced and wake up late to work for this problem

I encountered the same issue today. What’s weird, I rebooted my phone already after installing the iOS 11 GM. So it’s not the upgrade what’s causing the issue?

My lock screen keeps disappearing on my SE with iOS 11 GM. I have to reboot my phone to get it back. Very annoying, as it happens at least two times a day.

This is completely overstated, sorry. I've had the last few betas on my air2 and haven't had any issues at all. The slow calculator is the only annoying thing I've found.

I have to agree with the post you quoted, I had the GM installed on my Air2 for nearly a week, and coming from 10.3.3 everything feels rather sluggish...
Switching between apps, going back to the home screen, opening apps, all of those actions easily had a 1 second delay, making me revert to 10.3.3, which I’d never done before, after upgrading to a beta/GM.
And I’m not even particularly sensitive to lags/stutters, but personally, I’ll wait for 11.1/2 and see other users opinions until I take the plunge again!

After restoring both my devices 7+, iPad 10.5 as new and reloading all my apps, I’m pleased. One backup was causing an issue with my 7+, which is resolved. Not going back to 10. Looking forward to iOS 11 maturing in upcoming updates.

Messages is the cause of massive battery drain on my iPhone 7. I’ve deleted all my messages and it seems to have helped a little in terms of battery life.

I had been running beta 11 since about 7 or 8 and do not recall seeing this behavior and did not notice until a couple of days ago with the GM. I am using the SE.

I have fresh installed the GM and noticed during phone setup that Siri did not give the option to train your voice using the 5 questions. To correct it, I went into settings..Siri, and flipped the listen for 'hey siri' back off and on and was prompted to train my voice.

Has it always been doing that with a fresh install under 11? Thanks.

Siri setup seems to be saved in iCloud now so it doesn’t need to be setup again if you restore from backup. I say seems to be as I’m not sure how it’s saved, but I’ve noticed this behaviors as well.

This could be a security feature. App developers (and Apple) can disallow the use of third party keyboards when entering credentials. Perhaps the method for doing this has been tweaked on iOS 11?
