I noticed on my 5S if you constantly running apps and it might be a RAM management issue but phone will freeze up and you’ll have to force restart it
This is an app compatability issue. Wait a few days for the app to update for supportCan't get WhatsApp backup to work with iOS11. Don't know if it is related to iOS11 or not.
I want to setup my iPhone as new but before I can I have to create a back-up of WhatsApp first.
I just figured it out .Open More ( 3 dots )- Go to all you apps in sticker drawer - Edit- Open all of them (Green ) , Click on Done .
They now will update .Now you can remove them again...until next time ;-)))
The red number will be gone.

Thanks! Worked for me as well. It’s clear that the iMessage app drawer still needs work. Many times I cannot tap on one of the apps and rearranging them by drag and drop in landscape still always crashes the app.
I just ran a backup and it worked fine. My backup was only 50MB though; sure you have enough cloud space for yours? Maybe it's spending ages recompressing your 700-odd MB of video or something.
Been having a number of UI bugs on my ipad mini with ios11...
- in settings somehow a highlighted 'general' button on the left remained on even after switching to a different setting group and the stuck button ended up covering up whatever scrolled under it while scrolling the left side list. remained until force closing settings
- in settings ui seems to change and reformat itself some seconds after opening it, shifting everything around
dragging an app from dock and dropping it on the edge of the screen returns the app to the dock instead of splitting screen (which is probably that the mini doesn't support split screen) but in returning the app to the dock it goes to the middle of the dock on top of other apps in it's place and sticks there for a second before snapping into a different position in the dock. very glitchy.
- in music a video i was playing quit playing after about 30 seconds and the 'now playing' sub-pane got all jacked up with a random album art and no data filling all the lower fields. it occurred exactly as a music nudge occurred to tell me how to swipe to view now playing. again, had to force quit to fix.
- very quick up swipe for app switcher doesn't remove the home screen apps and replace them with grey background, instead overlaying the control panel right on top of them impossible to see.
- often very stuttered ui animations for things like dock and app switcher, notifications, etc.
- extremely delayed siri responses
- a few crashing apps
- in general glitchy stuttered ui responses in almost every app.

I ran into what I can only call a major glitch in iOS 11 on my iPad Air 2. I had previously docked my Mail app in as a floating side app and then hid it. At some point later I tried to open the Mail app and it opened in the side bar (with no other apps showing) and immediately exited. I opened it again and this time it displayed. I decided to try and dock another app on the side, that immediately disappeared and at that point my iPad would no longer do anything. The only thing that worked was swiping up to display the control center, but trying to close the Mail app by pressing the Home button or switching apps didn't work. Out of desperation I locked the screen which made things worse as I then couldn't wake the display. I could activate Siri so the iPad wasn't completely frozen, but it was unusable. I had to do a hard reset since I couldn't get slide the shutdown to display.
It's been a full night and day using the new iOS. My thoughts are pretty good tbh. Nice looking new UI and control center, much easier to text with one hand, great animations of the apps and also great battery life. I'm really looking forward to test the battery but for now everything is looking pretty smooth and nice.
Anybody have issues with the lock screen not showing anything? The clock/date isn't even showing up.
I feel like this is related to my issue with Carplay being spotty and not charging my phone... worked just fine on 10.3.3., now all of a sudden my official Apple Lightning cable doesn't work and my phone might need to be cleaned? Highly unlikely
Sorry to disagree... but I am having virtually NO problems on any of my devices (iPhone 7+, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro 10.5).

My iPhone 7 has been smooth and excellent as well. No issues that I notice.
No major problems on my 7 Plus. But major bugs and oversights with how iOS11 interacts with Watch OS4.
i think it is a RAM issue..... i am having the same on my iph6 --- thankfully my ip8 is 'preparing for shipment'
