Anyone else’s AirPods stop showing last location in find my iPhone? Haven’t unpaired and repaired yet. Just curious.
You mean they're not listed on the device list anymore, or just that it's not showing last known location? Mine aren't showing in my device list anymore (but I haven't used them since the update to b4). All of my other devices are still there though.

Edit: Showed up again once I put them in. I'll check again in a few hours....see if they've fallen off of the list or not.

They are listed in the device list and show location when I’m using them. At some point after that they stopped showing last location. I used them yesterday and today they just show offline with no location.

This does not look like its going to be fixed.
A month after a new version came out that will be getting updates for about a year we can already jump to conclusions. That approach definitely planned out with iOS 10.

A classic way to show how the home button is slower than gerstures and with all iPhones losing the home button next year, you can bet Apple will drop the home button iphones like a sack of potatoes.
But it was supposed to show how much faster and better iPhone 8 was going to be so that people would buy that phone. Interesting how that tune changed and those suppositions were quickly brushed aside as soon as iPhone 8 came out and had a similar supposed "delay".

Clearly with such a maliciously conspiratorial company like Apple they would purposefully cripple a new phone they are spending money producing. Probably like how they let planned obsolescence go last year when they made iOS 10 a better update so that people wouldn't buy their new iPhone 7 because it didn't offer much of anything new.

The almost constant obvious spin on top of fallacies is just astounding.

They dont care about iPhone 8. They are cutting production by 50% just a month after release. Its a filler phone which is why the usual rules dont apply. Its all about the X.

Which isn't what you and various others were saying before. So much for suppositions.

Yes we were wrong there but not entirely because it doesnt disprove planned obsolescence for the 7 Plus because 8 Plus is getting 14 hours of battery life while my 7 Plus is only getting 7-8 hrs maximum with moderate use.

update: yes i said 11.1 was acceptable to be used, but like idk i couldn't stand it personally after 24 hours

it's WAY better than 11.0 gm when i tried it, but it still feels too... sluggish

delays everywhere, it just feels slow coming from 10.3.3 (folder animations are slower to respond, home button is as well, same for multitasking, etc)

and the new assistive touch, i ****ING HATE the new assistive touch

but anyway

that being said i downgraded to 10.3.3 this morning... again

i'll wait until 11.2 and try again

So a similar earlier supposition was wrong about this kind of thing. Glad we agree on that.

There are plenty of people on this sub forum who are having this issue which means home button lag factually exists. Open and close 5 apps and its an almost 5 second delay right there. With 20 apps its running into minutes. You may not experience it or have any issue with it but I do.
There are plenty of people also not having this issue; so that leaves us exactly where?

Edit: I think I'll downgrade one of my 5s, if possible, to IOS 10.3.3 (the pinnacle of perfection) so I can really see differences; if any between the animations.

Double pressing to home button to leave multitasking is actually faster than pressing the home button once...
Interesting! Didn't know this. Good eyes.

I'm on 10.3.3 and it behaves the same way. Weird.

That's not where it leaves us. It leaves us in a very different spot; where some claim to have an issue, and some claim not do, but there is no proof.
One of the sides has already posted 3 videos has proof. The other side is just making statements. Who to believe?

Leaves us with what I said earlier. The issue is there on all iPhones. Its noticeable to some and not noticeable to many.
And seems like it might be there to a different degree on different devices for different people given that some of the videos don't really seem to represent the experience you are having. So not really the same for everyone after all.

Not the Youtube videos as “fact” unless it can be demonstrated absolutely no human error is involved. I believe what the majority seems to state.
If there was human error why does the delay disappear when these same videos show iOS 11 vs iOS 11? How do you draw the majority? You don't know if the majority aren't having issues.

HEIC is an abomination. Sure, the file size is smaller and the quality is at least consistent with PNG... but there's no way to edit those files in any of the mainstream photo editor programs...I have a 256GB iPhone, so I am not overly concerned about storage space. I turned the new formats off.

This is a typical Apple move under Tim Cook... make the change (good or bad) and screw what happens, long before the world is ready for it.

No need to freak out. Like you said, you can easily change it back to capture JPG in the camera settings. Or change it in Photo settings to export as JPG but keep HEIC on your phone. So its not a mandatory change that Tim is forcing on you. No one is getting screwed by anything, you're not a victim.

You don’t know if the majority are either so we’re are back to these videos represent an anecdotal experience. However I do know when a person states he/she is not having issues. Anyway, this horse is being beat to death in the wrong thread.

Every phone has this, problem as this is a clean install hardware we are talking about and you will find this issue in innumerable YouTube channels where iOS 11 is being used.

And even if I for a second accept what you are saying, we can very clearly with proof say that with our phones( the magical phones which have issues) Apple has introduced a delay thereby forcing us to upgrade.

Pray tell how did you downgrade to 10.3.3, since Apple has stopped signing it.
It's still being signed for iPhone 6s.

Omg, what went wrong there?! The Beta 2 version gave me 10 hours of screen time and 14 hours of total use since last charge (iPhone 7 Plus). Now I can barely use for 3.5 hours with the screen on. WTF? Is there a solution for this? Any recommendations?

So it’s fine on iPhone 8 but not on a 7 Plus? That’s weird!

Where is good to upload short videos because MR doesn’t accept them as attachments?

Taken on 7+
My Weather widget also not working
