Is Bluetooth audio with AirPods still cutting out regularly?
I haven't experienced that with this beta, but what I have its sometime it takes a while to the AirPod to sense that its on my ear and connect, an sometimes it makes the connect sound but instantly disconnects or it doesn't connect to my iPhone. (that has been in previous versions too :/)

How is this so far? (It’s not going to get much higher because I’m heading to bed soon, and plugging it in so it’ll be charged for work tomorrow.)

Sorry to say but its not good. 6 hours of usage while screen on time is even lesser. If you just played a game on that phone for half an hour or watched videos you could drain it in 5 hours.

It is SO irritating and I just don’t know what else to do, short of just dealing with it until I’m able to upgrade. I guess I can’t complain much since it lasts me all day and I only have to charge once? Lol I’m trying to be positive because I’m worrying way too much about my battery lately, so much so that it’s giving me anxiety. I even shut off the percentage for a while so I wouldn’t have to see it and stress on it.

Since your wear Level is at 91% the battery is healthy. So no point spending on a new battery.

If you have the time to do so install a battery profile by Apple which is on the dev portal. Sync your phone to your PC using iTunes. It will immediately generate some .plist files and you should keep them in a new folder somewhere on your PC. Use your phone for a day or two and it will generate more .plist in your phone. Sync your phone to PC and copy paste the new plist files to the new folder where you had kept the old ones. Disconnect your phone. Now press the lock button and both volume buttons on your 7 Plus simultaneously for 5-10 seconds until your phone vibrate and it will generate a sysdiagnose on your phone after 5 minutes. Again sync to iTunes and copy the sysdiagnose file to the same folder where you had kept the plist file. Visit bugreport.apple.com and upload all these files and complain about your battery.

I did all the above stuff and they told me my battery life was fine so it may not go anywhere but it’s worth a shot as your battery life is much worse then when I was using my 7 Plus.

If you need help finding the folder where iTunes syncs the files or any other assistance let me know.

Ah thank you!! Hopefully this will help me get somewhere. Even if I get told the same thing, well I guess it could always be worse? It already was worse, this is bad but it was downright horrible before now. I almost wish I could go back to 10.3.3.

If you want proper instructions look here

https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/profiles-and-logs/

Download and install the profile saying "Battery life for iOS". Note your storage wil lstart getting filled up when you use it for a day or two because of logs

These are the detailed instructions on what to do.

https://developer.apple.com/service...OS_Logs/Battery_Life_Logging_Instructions.pdf

Don't forget to attach a sysdiagnose in addition to the above

Good luck!

Yup, still there.
Thank you for the info. This stupid bug makes me use the iphone X in silent mode. It’s the only way to avoid this strange clicking sound. And first i was thinking it’s because of the 11.2 update. So when 11.1.2 was still signed, i installed it hoping to get rid of the clicking sound. After the installation everything seemed ok again. But as soon i turned off haptic feedback, the clicking sound came back. This means even under 11.1.2 the sound was there, but only with turned off haptic feedback. So i went back to 11.2.1 and searched for a way to avoid the click. The only realiable way i found is to use the mute button on iPhone X. Like this the click also is banned. But im hoping strongly
A future update gets rid of it.

I disabled email and rebooted. It then proceeded to lose 4 percent in 20 minutes for no reason.
So no apps showing that used that running in the background? Something is definitely running in the background to cause that. Just need to try and pinpoint what is and then address it. If its still email, you may need to delete the acct and re-add it if the disable didn't work.

Honestly if you are going to bed with 52% remaining why are you stressing over it? Don't let Radon drag you into that pit. Is it really worth $1000 for a new X just so you can go to bed with 85% battery remaining? :) My suggestion is you just use and enjoy your phone without turning every feature off and don't stress over trying to display how much battery you have left after doing so. If you go to bed with 2% remaining thats ok. ;)

From another person who stresses (a little) about battery life...... in today's phones with non-replaceable batteries, reducing the number of charge / discharge cycles is EVERYTHING if you want to maximize useful battery lifespan. Going to bed with 85% remaining means perhaps two days per cycle where using 50% per day probably means charging every day (ie., double the number of cycles).

I yearn for the day when we return to user replaceable batteries.

Anyone else have an issue when they open a picture and then click edit it suddenly pops up on the picture and says “downloading” and never does anything? Won’t let me edit any pictures. Sent report into Apple

I guess, but I (and would venture to say 95% of users) charge everyday anyway. I still have an original release day iP6 that works fine and has been charged daily since purchase. Same thing with a 4s that was traded in for that one after 3 yrs of use and no issue. At $79 for Apple battery replacement you can get a lot of batteries for the cost of the X IF required. But if a single battery will last 3+ years I am ok with that as by then its close to time to upgrade anyway for other reasons. Of course I am one who while would love a new device yearly just because, there is simply no reason to do so and I cant justify spending that kind of $$ for a telephone when the one I have works beautifully and does pretty much the exact same thing as the newest one does. :) Just seems a lot of folks here are stressing needlessly over it for various reasons (going to bed with a lot remaining, conserving battery cycles, etc) to the point where they cant just simply enjoy using their phone and charge it when its needed. As an example a user with these stats is not happy with battery life: 19+ hrs standby, 7+ hours of use and 54% remaining.

I am not an expert on this but The replacement batteries are likely refurbished and not worth spending money on. I learnt that the hard way. I have an iPhone 6 whose battery I replaced just a couple of months ago. Don’t use the phone all that much and with 88 charge cycles battery health is already 94%. This is in contrast to my 7 Plus which is at 98% after 200 charge cycles.

Where did you get your battery replaced? Batteries cannot be refurbished first of all. Also, even getting a refurbished iPhone from the Apple Store will have a brand new battery in it.

You mean from Apple? Nah those would not be refurbs/used. If you pay for Apple to replace it you get a new battery. But there are 3rd party options that could be less than stellar.

Exactly and new outer casing too.

Definitely seeing a significant increase in app crashes on this beta. Specifically News, Safari, and Messages. They crash at least once daily.

I got it replaced from an Apple Store and I even specifically checked the health at 100% when received it. It’s used everyday but still wouldn't expect 94% health after just 88 cycles.

Anyway the developer of geekbench has responded on the throttling issues on iPhone 7. Apparently Apple has changed power management for iPhone 7 in 11.2 so that it too now downclocks at more battery wear levels

There was something mentioned about iPhone 8 or the iPhone X?

Hope beta 2 drops the mac 10.3.3 beta 2 is out so hopefully will be later or tomorrow :)

Hope they fix this stupid bug as well. So on iPhone X, when you swipe from bottom to dismiss the control center, there is a clicking noise that you get. Only happens when the phone is not on silent. This is a software bug because the notification center when dismissed shows normal behaviour. And the clicking sound also happens maybe 8 out of 10 times specially if you swipe from the bottom of the screen. Few threads on it:
