Mate, try again. The iPhone 7 and 7+ both use Intel chips for certain countries, and iirc, so does the iPhone X. So yeah, I'd suggest researching this stuff before making such claims.

Hmm, that's wierd. Raise to Wake and pressing the home button work perfectly fine on my 7 Plus.
The issues in question affect processors/CPUs, not some other chips/hardware (like modems).

I just noticed this morning that while my phone is in DND Driving mode and locked the driving directions were being displayed on my screen while I was driving (it was laying on my passenger seat). Is this new behavior? I don't use driving directions very often but don't recall it working like this before 11.2.5. Does anyone know when they added that? Has it always been like this?

Not sure why everyone cares so much about the weather widget, I mean sure, it’s a bug, but there are many weather apps with widgets that work just fine if not better that can be used.
I know that. I have Storm app and it's widget is miles better than Apple's. I was simply responding to somebody's question. Maybe you don't care about it, but other people do.

No need to get defensive. All I was simply saying is that it shouldn’t be a big deal considering the plethora of weather apps which are better and have nicer widgets.

Has anyone yet been able to draw any meaningful comparisons between this beta and 11.2.2?

My X seems to run much better on 11.2.2 .. 11.2.5 is not as smooth and lags switching between apps... this is only my opinion about Beta 1 thru 4 i have not tried 5 nor will I.. My X is doing well right now and dont want mess a good thing up

FYI Weather Widget is not fixed on 11.2.2 either ..I have seen some people say it works.. it works more than the beta but not 100 percent of the time

I currently use Yahoo Weather with no problems but would like to try the Storm app. There are lots of apps with storm in the name. Could you please give me the exact name of the Storm app that everyone mentions?
Thanks

I asked this in the beta 4 thread and never got a response, so I’ll kindly ask again.

Can anyone please elaborate on the smart punctuation bug in Messages? I don’t recall ever reading about this.

I have several weather apps depending on my setup. Carrot for my WATCH, Weather Live for iPhone/iPad and widgets, WU for Doppler radar in widgets.

One of these days, a developer will make one kick ass weather app across all devices for every situation and reap the rewards.

Storm (by WeatherUnderground) is in my opinion the best weather app out there. However, for the widget, I use BeWeather(free) since the widget is fully customizable and updates instantly without issues.

I dont wanna use third party weather apps.

It cant be that hard to get the stock weather widget to work properly... come on Apple!
You certainly don't have to, but with the stock one not working properly for some, the choice for those is to basically not have much use from it and just wait for a fix, or use an alternative (which could even be better in some way) to still at least get more or less the same type of use from it, while waiting for a fix.

But the real point is it is a feature they added not to very long ago and has worked fine until iOS 11. Now its pretty useless because its a crap shoot whether its correct. Using a 3rd party version is not the answer to Apples failures. If they cannot make it work again, then they should remove it and go back to the days where they didn't have a weather widget at all. Same as the calculator. There are plenty of 3rd party ones available but that didn't excuse Apple for having one that didn't work in iOS 11. Wasn't until version 11.2 that it was finally resolved. Sorry but the logic that "well there are plenty of other ones folks can download" is broken logic. Their built in apps and features need to work.

Also now its a game to see how many iOS 11 builds it takes to make it work again. Around 30+ so far. o_O

Or just tap the weather icon on home screen and to hell with the widget :)

How can you tell if the weather widget has updated or not?
If you don't use GPS location with the weather app, the easiest way is to move a different city to the top of the list in the weather app. The top-most city is default for the widget. Close the weather app and see if the widget changes to the default city. Do this twice. If the widget doesn't update, then it's still broken.
