Has anyone experienced this? Unplug lightning headphones while audio is playing, and the audio continues to play. It’s supposed to stop once the headphones are removed. This is on iPhone 7 and playing podcast through Overcast app. Doesn’t seem to happen with other apps playing audio
I have experience this but with AirPods on my 7+.

I feel special.

Is it just me or True Tone on the iphone 8 and so on is draining too much battery?
I just disabled it. How much battery?

I tried the following, for my failed to verify message for the public beta 2.

Delete download, multiple times
remove profile, multiple times
reset network settings, multiple times
anything else I could find via a google search, which brought me here.
All of which failed.

I had been starting the download and walking away to do other stuff, like getting ready for work ;) . I had an ah ha moment when I looked at the display and it said LTE and not WiFi (brief moment on lock screen) during one of my many tries.

What worked for me was using my iPhone X for 45 minutes straight (slow wifi network connection)
I never let the display dim, or the phone snooze off.

I kept it on and actively working reading news, browsing web pages, playing games etc, the download finished and its installing now. No failed to verify.

Clearly we all are having varied, results but maybe this will work for you. It did for me.

iirc, many years ago I to do a similar thing with ios 4, maybe 5 to get a developer beta to successfully download.

edit: Of course I could have just lucked out, but I also used the same process on my iPad with success.

It might be a server side issue since I'm having problem updating my TvOS as well. If possible, download the IPSW and install with iTunes.

Still either not getting notifications, or getting notifications late on my iPhone 7.

Guess it’s time to restore as new.

Anyone with beta 2 on their iPhone X, have you noticed tremendous frame rate slowdown when the phone hits 1% battery (literally does not happen at 2%)? Seeing this on 11.1, avoiding putting a new beta on my new phone right now but curious.

Yep - happened to me yesterday. Freaked me out.

Or... you could just wait for Apple to cycle the server and the problem goes away.

Yes true, but whats the fun in that. ;) I have never given up easily. Never will.... If you can't break a beta and or figure out a way around an issue then its time to move on from betas, and go back to stable releases IMO.

It was always my understanding beta testers looked for issues they found and documented them. I went out and found a way around the issue and had a lot of fun doing my testing. I like exercising my brain and problem solving. I could have taken the easy way out, but thats not me.

So while you do have very valid advice for most people. I cannot follow that advice and we have to agree to disagree...

Actually, it looks like we agree a lot. You yourself went and found that the same Apple ID must be used for iCloud and iMessage in order to use Apple Pay (post 259). Seems that you may also like experimenting and problem solving as much as I do.

I've enrolled in the iOS beta in the hopes that it resolves my main infuriating issue is that it doesn't connect to my car via USB. ios10 on my iPhone 7 plus had literally 0 issues connecting as soon as i upgraded to ios 11 it won't connect. It eventually comes up connection error doesn't matter if i use Apple Music or Spotify, official apple cables or not nothing will make this work.

My car has Bluetooth but quite frankly the quality is like 1980s radio its not worth using. It worked in 10 I really hope they fix it, annoyingly I can't see any mention of it at all in any of the updates and i have only owned the car several months. Anyone got any ideas? (No I cannot get the firmware updated in the car its not that fancy but it should still work like it did before)

Can anyone explain why my available storage dropped from 5.5GB to 3.0GB after installing Beta 2?? Has never done anything like this on any beta.

Thanks for the help

I get that too on my 8 Plus on 11.1

Can't verify even after a reboot and several attempts (like 10)

Maybe the fact that it can't verify should be a warning not to try and install
I had a similar issue. I deleted the downloaded update and re downloaded it and it worked fine.

My iPad Pro 9.7" is behaving a little weird since updating. Swiping up from the bottom of the screen no longer brings the dock into view. Four-finger gesture and double click home button brings me to dock and multi-tasking view however. Restarting the device fresh brings the functionality back as it always was but after half an hour of using, it's gone again. Again a restart and it works but it is always only temporary. Weird. Will report to Apple shortly.
Problem is solved by turning off Bluetooth in the Control Centre. Reactivating Bluetooth slows down the dock but does not disable it. Strange problem.

Same here with iPhone X and AirPods. The music (Spotify) continues to play every time I take them out. Pretty annoying.

I am having the same issue when I disconnect from bluetooth in my car. The phone keeps playing music on the speaker. Never happened in the other betas.

Except you didn't actually work around anything and this issue has nothing to do with this particular beta. If Apple activation/signing servers are having issues nothing you do locally can change that. You just happened to finally hit a window where it worked and nothing you did affected that.

Sometimes, there's no "workaround" for issues that Apple must address and/or resolve. I hear what you're saying, but sometimes you just have to wait it out.
