Just encountered a major bug. Went to check my voicemail and realized my visual voicemail was gone, with only the Call Voicemail option available. I cleared the app and restarted my phone to try and fix it and relaunched the Phone app.

As soon as I did, I saw that the contact photos for my Favorites were blank, so I tried tapping on a different tab (Recents) and realized the app was unresponsive. I waited for about 15 seconds and the phone played catch up but then crashed when I tapped on another tab.

Now, every single time I open the Phone app, it hangs for about 15 seconds and then only sometimes will let me make a call. Otherwise, it’s unresponsive or crashes and Visual Voicemail is still nowhere to be seen.

Also, during this time, I went to Settings and tapped on Phone. It hung there too for about 10 seconds before it actually moved to the Phone settings pane.

I’ve tried restarting the phone, hard reset, resetting network settings, all with no effect. Gunna try reinsterting the SIM, then a full wipe. Already submitted feedback.

You referring to me, punk?
My iPhone 8 did the same thing and updating the carrier settings fixed the problem.
Hope it works for you too!!

The weather is fixed!
Just restart the phone again, after the update is complete!
No it is not. I done all that. Don't assume that all guys here are newbies on this. I'm a developer and I allways check and recheck everything before post something here.
The weather widget is broke. There is some kind of problem with the widget because it doesn't get the current location when evoking the widget screen, it doesn't even show the location services icon, meaning it is not accessing the GPS hardware.

Can't see the public beta on my X (I'm running the previous public beta, 15C5097d). Has anyone with an X been able to see/download it? What's the new build number?

EDIT: for some reason the beta profile had been deleted from my phone. Once I reinstalled it, I could see the update.

Little harsh ya think? I mean since control panel was introduced it was swipe up from bottom middle now JUST on that device its completely different and folks are "stupid" if they dont somehow just know that?

Perhaps... but after about 10 minutes, maybe less, are those visual aids really necessary? C'mon, Apple, at least allow them to be configuration options in settings.

iPhone 7.

My carrier settings were updated with this beta. Is there some other way you are alluding to?

Same thing happened to my visual voicemail on my 6s. I tapped on the “call voicemail” option, hung up after 10 seconds, and everything returned to normal. I even did a test phone call with a voicemail message.

My phone favorites still display the photos and I haven’t experienced any lag or hanging with the phone app.

Thanks. I tried that already but nothing is fixing it. Bummer.

I had this problem one time on the 6S. I had to check About for any carrier update, I called my voicemail and enter voicemail passcode then hang up. I would use a different phone number to call my phone and leave a random message to see if I would get it. Most time this works. If it doesn't, last option probably to do a network reset.

For those who don’t have visual voicemail, did you try entering your password for it? I did it and it appeared for me

I had this issue in the betas of 11.0. Had to reset voicemail password and pull the Sim card.

I was a bit over confident. The carrier update only worked for a couple of minutes. Not sure how to fix this now.

Nope, probably not maybe after the 1st time like the wifi message. But my point was to the "stupid" comment.
