I don’t mean to start something and I’m not planning on reading through all the posts to see if it’s been mentioned, but isn’t a home button delay necessary? It would have to wait a brief moment after pressing the home button once to determine if you were going to double tap or not, right?
He is mentioning the delay when pressing home to quit the app. Gesture works faster here, definitely. I like it.

I’ve looked through a lot of this thread, didn’t see the answer I’m looking for, so I’ll ask here!
For those of you using this beta 3 on an iPhone X, how is it? Recommend for a daily driver? I know it’s not been out for 7 hours yet, so no solid battery stats yet.
Honestly 11.1.1 just feels sluggish to me on my X, lots of little freezes and hang ups, I have to restart my phone 2-3 times a day.
Basically I’m looking for an excuse to hop onto beta 3! :D

As you said, beta 3 has not been out long enough for anyone to say for sure. However, I have been using beta 2 on my X since I got it last Saturday without any issues. I don’t expect beta 3 to be any worse for whatever that’s worth.

In general, the X.1, X.2, X.3 betas are much more stable than the X.0 betas because the later releases are mainly bug fixes and a few minor new features. I tend to use those betas as my daily driver without hesitation.

  • Animation signaling that there are no running apps to display when user attempts to enter multitasking with no apps running is longer and progresses more gently.
That’s been the case for at least the previous two betas.

Yet another example of Apple slowing animations. I saw no problem with and preferred the quicker animation.

omg really Apple another line? We know where to swipe at... Does the line need to be there?
It was there before as well for iPhone X, nothing really new about it being present at one point as a tip basically. As I recall it goes away on its own and that's that, unless that has somehow changed in this beta.

the line was there on iphone x on which verison of iOS? Im not seeing that on 11.1

I don't mind the lines. But maybe they should have a setting to turn them on and off.

I understand these are beta releases, so I don’t expect them to be perfect. I was wondering though if anyone is experiencing issues with the podcasts app. It seems to crash whenever I’m playing audio and it’s checking for new podcasts in the background. I’m not sure if I subscribe to too many or if there’s something else going on? It seemed to be present in iOS 11 and then was gone in 11.1, and now the crash is back in 11.2. If anyone else is having issues with the podcasts app I would appreciate feedback. I’ve sent a crash report every time it happens.

Even on iOS 11.0. It's not something there that's all the time, it's like a tip that appears at one point or another for a short period of time. I'm assuming that it's still like that in iOS 11.2, unless we are saying the change isn't so much the line but that it's now there all the time?

Just encountered a major bug. Went to check my voicemail and realized my visual voicemail was gone, with only the Call Voicemail option available. I cleared the app and restarted my phone to try and fix it and relaunched the Phone app.

My VV doesn’t show after an update sometimes. I put my 7+ into Airplane mode for a minute and turn it off and it shows up.

You can try that if you haven’t already

Thanks, still didn't work and already reset network settings.

Didn't have a password, but went ahead and made one and still couldn't get it to work.

Tried that multiple times.

Do you have T-Mobile by chance? Does the Phone app become unresponsive for you?

Thanks everyone for your feedback on this issue. I wouldn't mind so much the broken Visual Voicemail, but it's the Phone app becoming unresponsive and crashing every single time I open it that is bugging me (so to speak). I've tried everything I can think of short of a wipe (which I'm doing now). Even spoke with T-Mobile to see if that was the problem.

If any other T-Mobile customers have an issue like this, lemme know as I'm curious is it's related to the latest T-Mobile 31.0 carrier update.

I put mine in Airplane mode for about a minute and turn it off. Once it connects to (in this case) Att

It appears this latest beta has reignited the never ending battle between my iPhone and some non-OEM/MFi charging cables.

... for good reason, IMO. You get what you pay for. The cheap crap can ruin your phone.
Without diving into the assumption of risk thing, I’d much prefer an all-or-nothing approach that spans the entire line of devices. I’ll leave it at that.

Little harsh ya think? I mean since control panel was introduced it was swipe up from bottom middle now JUST on that device its completely different and folks are "stupid" if they dont somehow just know that?

The two bars should show themselves for two weeks and then disappear.
