Yeah but my battery life is really bad though. That 7 hours of use isn’t through care free usage. As the percentage drops lower and lower the rate of drop in % per minute increases and once it gets below 50 it’s 1% a minute. I turn on low power mode to somehow extend it as I get nervous if it will die on me at 2 PM.

I haven’t used my phone at all today. Just some calls and e-mails and light half hour gaming. This is the result. Dead by 5 pm. Off the charger at 8 am.

Just got the following on my iPhone 7 (not Plus) with iOS 11.1.2 yesterday--the numbers are above average but the usage yesterday was more or less typical:

Were you on WiFi the whole day so I can try and replicate it?
A little over half the day on WiFi and the rest on LTE. Quite a bit of that time with cellular signal not being all that great so WiFi calling would kick on and off at different times, but wouldn't be consistent as the cellular signal would become a bit better or worse at times.

Over in the iPhone X thread I am seeing varied results but the worst scenario is the battery life I currently get on my 7 Plus while the best case scenario is a solid 12 hours of use with 14 hours standby something which is unachievable on my 7 Plus. In case if my 7 Plus the best case scenario is 7 hours and if I use it heavily it lasts 6 hours of use.

How many of those people are those who noticed the fractional delay in the home button? Point being, your mileage will definitely vary, and you don't want to come out feeling despondent again on the forums after paying $1,000 for a device.

Well there are many who noticed the sleep button delay even though I didnt in the limited time I used the device at the store. If I am not satisfied with it I will just return it and live with the problems till the X Plus next year which should fulfill all of my requirements

Then you should go ahead and bring the latest and greatest home. :)

That is not bad battery life. Your expectations are totally messed up.

15 hours standby time is more than enough time OFF the charger to get through a day. For example say you take it off the charger at 6am. 15 hours since the last charge puts that at 9pm, with 19% battery left. Which could easily last until midnight with some use. That’s pretty much a full day. You’re confusing time since last on a charger vs actual on screen usage time. You’ll never get 15+ hours of on screen usage time.

Your expectations are off, not the battery life.

You may want to check your numbers again. You know that Standby time includes usage time, right? You would have had to take your phone off the charger at 2am, not 8am, for these numbers to be accurate.

Well, just experienced the borked phone app issue for the first time. Toggling airplane mode restored the responsiveness and everything seems to be fine again; however, I'm still actively submitting feedback at the time of typing.

What carrier? Wondering if this is a carrier update issue or a specific carrier etc. Or just a flaky version of the phone app itself. I am on Verizon and had the issue with b3 from the get go requiring a reset all settings. B4 only required an initial AP mode toggle and has been fine since. Hoping the next beta fixes it 100%.

Gotcha! I’m on Verizon as well. I never had the issue in beta 3. Early in beta 4, I encountered the voicemail bug, which AM toggle fixed. Now, I encountered the unresponsive phone app, fixed by the same method. Maybe a carrier update is needed to smoothen this out.

My iPhone 7 Plus is getting a few resprings and just now after I end a call it got frozen on the blocked screen, no response even when connected to power.
Edit: It started the respring animation like 1 minute after that, but it does not end the animation. now you can feel the home button touch, but still no response.
Edit 2: after some time I decided to do hard reset, now its all ok.

11.1.3? It's possible that might come out (and if it does it would likely be in early December or so), but it seems that it's more likely 11.2 will be released instead at some point in December. Although it's certainly possible that 11.2 might not even get released this year, which could make 11.1.3 a more realistic possibility.

I got it wrong with 11.x.x.. what i meant was the next update..
Thank you for your answer.

33 1/2 hours since the last time you charged your phone is bad battery?

That’s a full day plus 9 1/2 hours into day 2 without charging...and you still have 17%. That’s hardly what should be considered bad battery life.

Agreed,looks like great battery time!

Looking at standby time and saying that it’s great? No, it’s not. Got 8h of usage and longer standby on iOS10.
Battery is garbage in iOS 11.

I posted this a couple of days ago on my 6s:

Not sure why some are having battery life issues on this beta. The battery on my 6s has been phenomenal, especially since 11.0.

View attachment 737202

The 6s battery is barely a 1700mAh capacity. 33 hours of standby without charging is fantastic. Samsung Note 8 users with twice the battery capacity would be pretty impressed with your numbers.

I agree battery was garbage on 11.0, but the 11.2 betas have not been “garbage” in the least for me.

If you really believe 5 hours usage and 33 hours standby is “garbage”, your expectations are well beyond reasonable for an iPhone that was released over two years ago.

If I got 3 more hours of usage with iOS 10 then my expectations are realistic for my every day usage pattern.
33h of standby is nothing. If you put a phone to airplane mode and low power mode for 8-9h night which uses 1% of battery.

Yeah it is. It means you haven’t needed to charge your phone for nearly a day and a half. With 17% still to go...on a two year old device.

Your expectations are far too unrealistic of what typical battery life should be. Go watch any YouTube review about any smartphone. The benchmark is generally if it can last till the evening when taking it off the charger in the morning. Your screenshot blew past that benchmark and almost halfway into the second day, with 17% to take it easily to halfway into day 2.
