Ah well, I'm done with this. Time for me to carry on and enjoy reading this forum, however stay on iOS release versions. I'm going back to 11.1.1 on my 6S+ as the battery life is not good on this beta 4 for me. Now don't get me wrong, if I can believe Coconut Battery, my battery is only 80% of capacity now anyway so that will make a difference of course, still with that said, I got better out of 11.1.1
Carry on folks :)

How is this version for a daily driver???
Thats the $50,000 question. Its all over the place with some saying it awesome and others going back to release. To be honest, I would wait until beta 5 drops perhaps Monday. The last two betas have had issues with the phone app (pretty important app to work for a TELEPHONE.) :) But otherwise it seems to be pretty decent and not any worse than the other iOS 11 versions IMO. Actually best iOS 11 version to date baring the phone app issue.

That shoudnt even be an option. You do realise that this is a Plus iPhone. These things are supposed to outlast all Android flagships by a mile. Anything below 6 hours is horrible. This is whats mentioned about iPhone 8 Plus battery on an Android website

" I've learned that despite claiming "up to 12 hours" of internet use on both the iPhone 8 and X, and 13 hours on the iPhone 8 Plus, the iPhone X falls somewhere in the middle of those legacy designs. I usually get to sleep with 10-15% battery left, which is what I'd have remaining from a Galaxy S8, and slightly less than from the Pixel 2. In other words, larger Android flagships still wipe the floor with the iPhone X for longevity .

I've yet to find an Android phone other than, say, the Huawei Mate 9, that can compete with the iPhone 8 Plus."

According to Apple, this is the 8 Plus battery life". Note the wording is such they imply the 8Plus has lesser battery life when they say "about the same" and not "the same"

Well, as a similar anecdotal example, here's my regular 7 (with iOS 11.1.2) from a few days ago with the same 3% remaining:

How much of that would be on screen time?

I can pull those numbers on my 7 running iOS 10 but in order to get such high usage times my screen was off a good chunk of the hours as I was listening to podcasts or running with music playing in the background with the screen off.

If I'm using the phone normally with mostly on screen time just browsing safari and instagram and light stuff like that I hit about 7-8 hours tops of usage before it's dead. Sometimes less.

Do you guys have any issues with auto brightness in this beta? Since this beta my display is very dim all the time.
You may need to calibrate it. Go to a dark room and let it adjust. Then set it to how you want it for that level of darkness once its finished. Then do same in bright room. It should remember those settings going forward.

Just noticed that none of my workouts have been syncing with my phone since 11/9. This was when I installed beta 2 for Apple Pay Cash. I've since installed all beta releases on both my Apple Watch (S1) and iPhone (7+). The funny thing is all my activity rings are syncing just fine. Just none of the workouts are coming across. They are all on my watch. Just not coming over to my phone. Anyone have any ideas?

No listening to anything really, mostly Safari usage (as in browsing and using sites/forums), with phone usage (mostly conference calls so the screen was even on for most of those), some TV streaming, and some other apps. To be fair, this was above average although for a fairly average day.

I had to forgot and re connect my AirPods, they where cutting out, pausing a lot (with out removing them), having sound playing with the speaker then connecting the AirPods to get a weird noise and not to play music, the touching play and they will sound on device but not the headphones, even with the output on them, and then they disconnects. Since re pair I had no more issues, so if anyone is having problems, that the way to go. iPhone 7 Plus.

Disable "Double-Click Side Button" in Apple Pay prefs to remove the delay on the side button. It's only there so that it can tell if you're going to press the side button once or multiple times.
Doesn’t seem like it makes much of a difference. There’s a delay even with that turned off but it’s definitely shorter. I think I’ll leave it on for the convenience.

That’s much much much worse than mine. It’s beyond horrible

Yes, I realize this. I can’t figure out how to fix it, I’ve changed settings and shut off a lot of app notifications and it’s still bad.

It's okay, we know you're making this all up. :p

The "touch status bar to scroll to the top" function stops working quite often in Safari, necessitating a restart of Safari.

Also, swipe up to dismiss apps stops working intermittently.

Is it just me, or does the X not support the 3D Touch multitasking gesture? Haven’t been able to get it to work on any version, including 11.2 beta 4.

X doesn't have it as apps can be switched with swipes at the bottom and the app switcher can be accessed with a gesture as well.

Tap the clock icon next to “last 24 hours” and “last 2 days” and post another screenshot. Also, FaceBook is a s**tshow of an app and you’d improve matters immediately by deleting and using the website instead.

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner! Here you go. And I agree about FB. I’ll try deleting it and using the website for a while and see how that goes.

(Upon checking both of these...yep, screw the FB app)
[doublepost=1511415811][/doublepost]Oops, my bad. Don’t know why I grabbed screenshots from both times. Oh well, doesn’t hurt anything.

I read somewhere here that on this beta some are having sound pops/breaks in the YouTube app, I wonder if it’s related to the issue I’ve had on my X since I installed 11.1.2. Since then in YouTube and Netflix every now and then the volume slider at the top of the screen will appear without any input, not even holding the phone, same with other controls appearing in the Video app.

Unfortunately the 11.2 beta 4 doesn’t fix this. I just timed the volume slider appearances in the YouTube app and it’s every 2 minutes and I do hear a slight break in audio at the same time.

I’ve posted a thread about this but no one has replied that they have the same issue, anyone here having this happen?

Thanks for the screenshots. Yep, delete FB, optionally restart and see how you get on for the next day or so. Let us know.
