To be honest? Yes. The only thing I’ve noticed is I depleted my battery in a single day now, where I never did that before. In return you get a liquid smooth UI and faster face ID recognition.

True that, even on iPhone 7. However, my use case means my battery now lives longer than a day for me, for the first time!

My new messages are syncing between my phone and laptop, but old messages aren't. For example, if a new iMessage comes in and I get it on both devices (as always), deleting it from one now deletes it from the other as well. Perfect. However, my phone only has messages going back 6 months (when I set it up as new for some reason) whereas on my laptop the messages go back a couple of years. These historical messages aren't being sent to my phone.

Not sure if that's a bug or intended behaviour, so I've not reported it. As lots of others have said already, it's a shame we can't see things that use iCloud to sync (e.g. iMessages and text shortcuts) actually on icloud.com.

I’d err on the side of reporting this issue. Then Apple can decide if it’s an issue or not.

I notice I am getting about 30 extra minutes per 10% of usage. I went ahead and updated the SE already on 11 anyway to the public beta. Used to get about 1 hour of usage and be at 90%, now it’s 94%, then 84% where I’d be at 80, etc. battery seems much improved and cpu dasher and Geekbench show 1800 out of 1858 so no throttling.

Has anyone with a X notice their phone not making the charging tone when placed on a wireless charger?

Seems weather widget still working since install on day one. Hasn’t worked other than randomly for me since iOS 11.0 beta 1 until now with 11.3.

No I don't.

Don't care whether you put me on ignore or not. I have as much right as anyone else to post my observations here and I don't care how other people's devices perform as it doesn't affect my device. Compared to iOS 10.3 this doesn't seem to have made any great impact as claimed.

On what device?

On my 5s, while 10.3.3 was "light", iOS 11 was no slouch at all. By and with 11.2.5 beta 7, the software felt great and much faster than previous iterations. With 11.3 beta 1, it is positively faster, with just one odd bug (that I have filed with Apple).

Again, the 5s is positively smoother and for what it brings to the table in terms of features and improved security for the 5s, I would not like to go back to a faster home buttoned but far more vulnerable (with respect to security) phone. A slight delay does nothing for me, a security vulnerability does. This isn't share market where nanosecond delays make or break millions.

For 11.3 beta, are we seeing a 2-week gap between the first and second beta or we can expect a 2nd beta this week?

Not sure what the hell happened but a reboot fixed it. Check out the tiny text size for google Maps contacts etc and how big others like imdb are !

This happened to me at first too. Last night when I tried it though it works, so seems to have resolved itself. Hopefully yours does too. :)
[doublepost=1517076980][/doublepost]I had the same issue some others here had where my iPad Air would not connect to any wifi networks after installing the beta. I ended up putting in DFU mode and restoring.

Was anyone able to resolve this without a restore?
Had same issue on my iPad Air. Tried everything ended up doing the same thing to fix it.

What’s the battery health look like? Another factor I have seen is how healthy the battery is in addition to the % of charge. Use Battery Life (RBT Digital one) app if you don’t have it already.
90% healthy

Only issue I've had so far is a third-party app (Ooma) crashing on launch. Everything else is very smooth.

When I saw Airplay 2 I immediately updated my Apple TV and iPhone X, only to see it works like ****, pardon my French.

AirPlay 2 was supposed to be a 11.0 feature... What are they doing? Everything is getting delayed and delayed. Steve Jobs is turning around in his grave so fast we could use him to generate electricity.

I believe it’s the initial AirPlay 2 but full features might not come until later betas

The Galaxy S8 has Dual Audio, which means it is possible to connect two bluetooth headphones/speakers at the same time. I would love to have this on the iPhone (or future iPad/Apple TV). Does Airplay 2 enable the this feature set from Bluetooth 5? Has anybody tested it with the multi room setting?

I'm glad to read this. That's the way to go Apple!!!!

I don’t recognize my iPhone 7 Plus now with this beta... wow !

I'm assuming you're happy with this beta? I'm debating whether to try it or not, I'm currently only 2.5 (7+ also) and not real happy with it and my carplay so I may go beta.
