iOS 11.3 Beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Good day to all!

I was wondering if the BUG (SAME USAGE AND STANDBY TIMES) under battery settings has been resolved in this BETA 1 of iOS 11.3?

Well that isn't a "bug" for any iOS version per sae. It means that some app or process is in a run away condition and it constantly running thereby making usage and standby match. There are lots of reasons (iCloud sync, mail, photo upload) are some common ones. Or any 3rd party app. Need to see what app is using battery and address it.

The widget is constantly on the lock screen. The only exception is that it will very temporarily go away after a soft reset but reappears quickly.

Maybe a reset all settings would fix that for you. The behavior I’m seeing and have seen for awhile is that simply pausing the music results in the widget disappearing from the lock screen.

Do you mean a hard reset of the entire phone or another setting? I can download 11.3 beta tonight and see what happens.

No, I mean going to Settings—>General—>Reset All Settings. This will wipe your phone of its settings, WiFi passwords, Apple Pay cards I believe, but will keep your content. Many users have had success with this when they have a persistent bug like yours.

By the way, blocked calls won't get a busy signal, from the callers end they would sound like normal calls that would end up going to voicemail.

In my case, blocked callers have always heard a busy signal. My calls are not diverted to voicemail when busy. This is related to operator settings.

Got ya, thanks for the suggestion. If the 11.3 beta doesn’t fix it I will give that a try. It has persisted through several updates at this point though.

Interesting. That doesn't seem to be the general consensus here. What device? Seems to be the best iOS 11 version to date on iP6s. Perhaps a reinstall may help or a reset all settings.

white I'm not seeing hourly lockups, the issues with this beta are definitely more present and annoying. bluetooth / AirPods issues. Homekit issues, etc..... perhaps the whole airplay 2 space needs a lot more work.

The AirPod bluetooth issue is annoy AF. I was using my phone for a WebEx meeting for my team earlier and just had constant gibberish coming back at me every time I spoke.

Beta's should never be installed as a daily driver unless you are prepared to deal with foreseen and unforeseen issues. Apple clearly states this on the install screen.

Yeah... it seems to be “working” - in that new messsges arrive almost simultaneously, and deletes on one device carry to the other.

But I expected (and why wouldn’t you) that when enabled and a back-up to cloud done that all of the devices messages would merge and time-order into one cohesive “iMessage repository” on iCloud, and therefore viewing it from any device would appear the same.

Maybe later beta version refinements will come...

I believe that is the way it was on iOS 11 beta 1-3? It synced ALL of my old imessages from my Mac to all of my devices running the beta. That made it really nice. Hopefully they will make it like that once again.

My phone is insanely laggy everytime i go to open messages and/or go to a new convo... is there a fix for this? I don't have the messages toggled on in icloud as I assumed that was the issue... it has not made a difference.

Betas can cause all sorts of issues. I don’t know a specific fix but you could try restoring your phone.

You can try force close it and relaunch it or force close it and restart device or wait for upcoming beta 2

Definitely not the only one but I’d say you’re in the minority. I’ve had a few minor graphical glitches but pretty solid overall for me.

No issues for me. Better than 11.2.5. I’d try erase all content and settings and see if it fixes the issue.

Given up trying to figure out how the power management is now working but not complaining as i have a far more usable device. Getting full speed when battery is at 15% or less and high wear level and throttled when well above that and battery wear is reported as low.

another bug seems to be with headphones, plugging them in doesn't always register with my X. The volume wont allow me to adjust it, have to unplug back in and works fine. Phone is a lot smoother for the most part so a keeper at the mo.

My photos library is a mess. Photos that I delete and some minutes after appear again, photos that I take and don’t appear on the photos tab of photos app.
Tried to logout from my iCloud account, delete all my phone photos, log into my iCloud account again to reload all my iCloud photos my after the sync, everything is a mess. Photos that are on the iCloud that don’t appear on the phone, new photos that I take that don’t appear on the photos tab, photos taken a year ago that appear like they were taken today, well, a mess.
Anyone experienced this? Solution for this?!!!

6S+ and not impressed with battery life.
This is Facebook browsing, check emails and an 11 minute phone call. Battery is at 91%. Lol
Not good usage.

Same. I forget that I’m on a beta most of the time. This is the most solid my X has been since I got it.
