I still think that the new iPad will come with iOS 11.3 installed. However only time will tell that.
Normally new product is always launched with a new iOS version because the details would be otherwise leaked by looking into the code. Since nobody has found the reference of the new iPad in iOS 11.2.6, it would be safe to assume that it will be launched with iOS 11.3.
Nope. A few inaccuracies in your post. On multiple occasions new hardware has launched with previous software. This same debate happened with iPhone X. Everyone said 11.1. It came with 11.0.3.

iOS 11.3 is not at GM stage. The iPad is coming Friday. At earliest we will see 11.3 is Monday because macOS got a new beta this week. 11 years of Apple history will outline that when one software gets a beta in a week, none get a public release in the same week.

You can think what you want. You have the right. I won’t take that from you. But just know what you are claiming has holes and assumptions.

So by that logic, then wouldn't people have found reference to the new iPad in iOS 11.3 beta?

Is the newest BETA stable enough to be a daily driver? Also, in the OP it was listed that the camera launch was slower...Is that still the case? Just want to know because I have a newborn that I take lots of pictures and videos of. TIA

Those that are noticing the camera delay say it's very minuscule. If you are worried about anything with regards to stability, I would wait for the public release.

Ok. Thanks you. I was just asking because I'm not having the best experience on 11.2.6 on my X so I was just hoping 11.3 would be an improvement, even though it's still in BETA.

I understand. I would wait as there are definitely still issues with iCloud messages.

No. Because they don’t include it until the GM just the way Apple doesn’t include details about the new iPhone till the GM version of the new iOS. Only iOS 12 GM will have the details of the new iPhone and not the beta versions till then.

It’s been the case for every iPhone.

iPhone X I guess is the only product launched that way becaus there was nothing to hide in it. It was already launched. And details about it was already in iOS 11. iOS 11 was just the bug free version of IOS 11. Technically iPhone X was launched with iOS 11.

You are correct about Apple not releasing the new beta for iPhone when it has just released a new beta for macOS yesterday. I would agree with you on this.

iPhone X is not the only product. Not by a long shot. I don’t have the time to list them all out. But there have been numerous iOS devices that have launched without a new software update installed.

iPod Touches. (multiple)
iPad 2, Air, Air 2, iPad Pro 1. iPad Pro 10.5/12, iPhone X. And more.

So far I am suprisingly impressed. I’ve had a horrible experience with iOS 11 on my Pro 10.5. Since installing public beta 6 the difference has been night and day. No more stuttering or frame skips and everything is buttery smooth. I’m a major skeptic and very hard to please and I have no complaints. This is what 11 should have been from the very beggining. I’m very happy. This is how a $700 device should be running.

I have been looking forward to the 11.3 improvement as well. iOS 11.0 on my iPhone 6s sucks, 11.02 made it barely usable, 11.1 was the same and 11.2 it has gotten slower again. Even after battery swap the benchmarks still isn't showing the original performance number. I read a few blog post that 11.3 will fix that. ( Hopefully )

The lag and frame skips is very annoying. We are Apple users for a reason, the smoothness of iOS was one of them. I hope 11.3 will be released soon.

not sure if it's app or beta related, but my Starbucks app has stopped working all together; fails to load and just hangs

Has anyone noticed: (iPhone 7+) Perform soft reset (PWR + VOL down). On reboot a random reminder or just a notification that literally says "reminder" in it pops up .. annoying but not too problematic...

maybe sources on twitter say iOS 11.3 has been delayed until at least next week as some issues have been found

WHAT? its out now.

Where?

If a beta profile is not needed, it’s not a beta. Also, aren’t you the expert on build nomenclature?
How do we know a beta profile is not needed? No one has the new iPad. There is no evidence one way or another. People are jumping to the fact its public release.
