Just updated from 11.3.1 to 11.4 Beta 6. Weather widget AND app not updating. It’s 23:19 and still showing 23:00 in the widget and app. Perhaps it works as of midnight. I recall this behavior from the past iOS 11 releases.
Reboot didn’t solve it.
Hard reset neither.
Bug reported to Apple.

Update 1: App shows correct time 40min after update to Beta 6.
Update 2: incorrect time again some minutes later in both.

Try this. In the weather app, view the current weather, on the lower left corner, tap on icon “The Weather Channel” which will direct you to the website and tap on the location icon on the top right corner and “Allow” it. Check on the weather widget and then check again after a few minutes to see if it’s fixed.

Seeing lots of issue that seem to be internet stack related. Apple Music having issues advancing songs, having issues with content loading on safari sometimes content won’t load and get error that server stopped responding various sites including google) sometimes text loads and images don’t. Seeing issues with Facebook and Instagram loading as I scroll. This is both on LTE and WiFi. My home internet is stable 300mbps down and 15 up

Try removing weather widget and reboot. Then add weather widget again.

Doesn’t sound like a beta problem but a Wi-Fi related problem that happens no matter what iOS version you have. What you describe happens to me all the time when I have bad Wi-Fi connection. Your router probably needs to be restarted. I do so once a month or so to keep the expected connection stability.

As "predicted" the weather widget and app started working correctly as soon as the next full hour after the update to 11.4 b6 was due. As of midnight it works as designed.
I had an interesting conversation about the weather widget with a developer of a third party weather app/widget.

He said the lag is related to battery usage when updating info in the background. The widget can’t update to often since that will consume to much battery power. Apple has made a compromise with this and decided to preserve the battery.

I think that is a good decision, especially since people seems extremely sensitive and (for some strange reason) spend a lot of time measuring how long their battery last.

True. Versus battery life, people seem to be not making a lot of fuss with weather not updating enough.

The problem with this theory is that by iOS design, the widgets only update when you slide over to check them, and not in the background. The weather widget not updating has nothing to do with Apple tying to save battery. Also, 3rd party weather widgets work flawlessly.

Then how do you explain same issues on LTE, no issues on any other device and issues when on my work WiFi. Also a few others have reported similar Apple Music issues

If iOS moves attached images on iMessage in the iCloud (and when does it even decide to move them into the cloud anyway?) should they not also stay in sync.

Like if I click „retrieve from cloud“ and I delete them. Should they not be gone on all my devices on the next sync?

It’s stupid that attachments do not stay up to date on all devices. It’s the main reason I was looking forward to iCloud Message ... not having to delete all these god damn attachments on each of my devices separately and manually one by one

I just had a weird lock screen glitch on my iPhone X - when I turned it on, the lock screen was in landscape (along with my wallpaper) ... odd. I took a screen shot but can't upload it here (too large) - will post later.

Hey guys,

When i try to reinstall iOS 11 dev profile or watchOS 4 dev profile it keeps saying this profile is no longer valid. Can anyone else confirm this? I tried multiple times.

I haven't removed and reinstalled my dev profile recently, but I've seen several reports like yours in the past week in various iOS forums.

When you say you have “iMessages working well” can you elaborate? As far as I know all you have to do is “enable” imesssages in iCloud settings. Is there more to set up and tweak?

I took the plunge into Messages into the cloud. I have 2 macs and 3 iDevices. my messages go back to 2012. everything synced very well (attachments and messages in proper order) MY mac mini had a couple of attachments that did not download and I had to click on the arrow link to download other than that it is working!

I had thought I would reset my iPhone and rebuild it BUT having to unsync 5 Apple Watches first and having my Apple Pay cards deleted held me back!!.

I had a similar experience way back in iOS 11.3 betas. Then I had a device problem and needed to reset stuff and it has been jacked up every since. I only have messages in iCloud from about January of this year. The devices have messages from years ago. So it seems to work unless you have any issues, then there doesn’t seem to be any knobs to see what’s wrong or how to fix it.

Not true, it might just be a server-side issue. I just installed the beta profile just to see if it works and it works.

Dev or public beta? Public profile works but not the dev for me anyways. Public profile would work because it doesn’t change when a new iOS is released. Can anyone else confirm DEVELOPER profile wont install?

FWIW...I just tried installing the developer profile on another iOS device and it shows as no longer valid.
