Like they said with iOS 9?
Even more so, iOS 9 brought all the iPad multitasking features and a lot of other large improvements. In iOS 12 the biggest change rumored is a redesigned stock app...I see a lot more potential for focusing on bugs and polish this time around.

I have an iPhone 6 and browsing facebook-website is a pain in the ass.
Scrolling through news is slow and laggy.

Anyone else with the same problem?

I am wondering how slow it must be on 5s...
Get a new battery and do a full restore, I had a customer come in the other day to get a new phone upgrading from her iPhone 5s. Only reason she was upgrading was her battery life was shot. I used her phone for a minute and it felt perfectly usable and smooth. People need to understand that every major update you really should wipe and start fresh. I get way to many people upgrading their phone because “it’s slow” when they could save a lot of money spending the hour to do a factory reset on their devices.

when was the last time you restored it? I feel like people need to wipe their older devices more often. I completely wipe my old iPhone 6 every few months and it is still running great. If i didn’t have an iPhone 7 Plus too, I probably wouldn’t even notice much of the „lag“

Messages in iCloud works between iOS 11.4 beta 6 and macOS beta 5.

Until this beta you had to have the same beta versions on all systems, otherwise messages in iCloud wouldn’t work properly.

This feels very good!
[doublepost=1526633330][/doublepost]The problem with iPhone X getting hot shortly after using internet related apps seems solved in beta 6.

I did this with my 6s plus and the phone worked great after. I still upgraded but gave my phone to a family member

Are the attention aware features of the iPhone X working in this beta? I believe that has been a pain point in many betas before

That is excellent advice, thank you!

I’m guessing that applies to macs, too. I will try wiping my early 2015 MBP and reinstalling my software and data before I buy a new one. I love the keyboard and the array of ports on the 2015 and earlier models, so it would be great if I can get a couple more years of useful life out of my more than 3-year-old MBP.

[sorry for getting off topic]

I have never started fresh. My backup can literally trace it's roots to my iPhone 3G.

My phone is always on silent so I can't comment on the ringtone dropping but my alarm definitely does when I look at it in the morning.

Anyone else having issues with their iPhone preferring HSPA over LTE lately on AT&T? Since beta 4 i'm dropping from LTE to "4G" a lot more than usual... reported it thrice already.

Hi guys,

Before I send a bug report to Apple I just want to check with you guys to see if its actually a bug or if I have too high demands on messages via iCloud =). Whenever i erase my phone and set it up as new, after signing in to my Apple-id, my messages are supposed to be dowloaded. They do this but for some strange reason, when I open the messages app, i see a message at the bottom saying "Uploading to iCloud paused, plug in your device and connect to wi-fi". Is this supposed to happen? I mean sure, i can understand that this message pops up if your battery is 30-40% but not if its fully charged? I mean if I want to do a clean install of my device, i want my messages to be dowloaded as soon as possible =). What do you think? Is this a bug or is it working as it should?

I have no words for this

I do.

"Good for him."

I've carried my backup nearly as long and I don't have 95% of the issues I see people report in these threads. It's a shame that so many people continue to recommend sacrificing your data for a better experience because based on my personal experience (and in my own opinion, obviously) it just isn't necessary.

Message in iCloud requires iCloud Backup which requires to have device connected to WiFi, charger and device must be idle or locked for any syncing.

I agree on some parts but not all. Performing a backup to iCloud on any device only requires you to be connected to a WiFi. It does not however require you to have your lightning cable plugged in

You don’t have to loose anything. Wiping and restoring from a backup already helps. There is so much crap clocking up the phone behind the scenes. I usually gain like 3 GB at least even if I restore the same backup

I was having some issues with cellular service before, but Beta 5 seemed to resolve them. Beta 6 seems to be working good as well.

I haven't dropped down to HSPA yet on Beta 6. Not sure if I ever did on Beta 5...I can't recall it happening. I live and work in a fairly good service area though.

Supposedly Attention Awareness for phone calls is never enabled in beta releases. The other features should work as normal. Not sure the reasoning behind it, but once a build is signed as GM AA for phone calls is turned back on.
