You need a fresh install to fix this, I have it on my iPhone 8 and only set as new fixed it!
If you just change your search settings to not search the Settings app and then reenable that, the duplicates will go away. It's apparently a matter of the Spotlight index needing to be rebuilt.

Removed beta profile and restarted a few times, still not showing up for me. I'll just wait it out I suppose. Any suggestions, let me know.
Maybe get the IPSW file and update via iTunes. OTA should be appearing tho with or without the profile installed.

Moving from 11.4 beta 6 to 11.4 official release freed up 1.32gb on my iPhone X:

Settings > General > iPhone storage > System reads 12.83gb now compared to 14.15gb on beta 6.

Is Messages in iCloud even supposed to merge your conversations? I have text messages dating back to 2015 on my Macbook but they refuse to show up on my iPhone. I guess it's just new / upcoming messages from the time you turn it on?
For me it took 3 days before all units was syncronized 100 percent. Then all units had all messages, i.e. messages all the way back to 2015 suddenly showed up on an iPhone which earlier only hade messages from 2017. Magic :)

Resetting settings will fix it, no need for a fresh install.
No that didn't fix it. Just did a fresh install and it is normal now.

Should have waited a while before the phone restore. :|
For my knowledge, how do you achieve what you are suggesting please?

Just updated everything to 11.4 and had a quick look at Airplay 2 playing music from my iPad to my Sony soundbar via Apple TV and my Homepod together.

It sounds pretty good to me no lag on either of them will have a good play with them tomorrow.

Also calendar queries now work on the Homepod well asking if I have any appointments this week worked will play with add appointments tomorrow!

Open Settings, go to Siri & Search and then scroll down to find the section labeled Settings. Tap on that, and turn off Search & Siri Suggestions and also "Show App" when that appears. Wait a few seconds and then turn "Search & Siri Suggestions" back on.

If you're a beta tester (public and dev) you need to remove the beta profile to download it, same thing that happened for 11.3 I believe. :p
But anyway I just installed it on my device and so far haven't seen any changes except much better performance!

Was there supposed to be a splash screen after updating? I didn't get anything, just took me directly to the home screen. I never saw the Message in iCloud splash screen either despite enabling it.

Enabling MiiC is a bit wonky. Currently after uploading messages from both my iPhone and iPad, the iCloud storage listed for Messages on both my iPhone and iPad is showing as 270 MB. My iPad is showing 92 MB of conversations, while my iPhone is showing no conversations. My iPhone is showing Messages local storage as 105 MB while my iPad is showing 14 MB.

Deleting threads syncs, but deleting individual messages is hit or miss (sent messages delete, but received do not). Things haven't synced up, but I guess that just takes time.

Something I find odd is that Messages in iCloud doesn't appear to behave like Photos in iCloud. Messages don't show up under iCloud Backups, but there's no messages saying that's the case like for Photos in iCloud. Also Messages take up a lot more storage in iCloud than they did on the individual devices.

So... I 3d touched settings app about 5 times in a row, clearing it each time. Now all 3d touch haptics are gone. I haven't tried rebooting or anything.

EDIT: Rebooting returned the haptics.

All the log and diagnostic files that accrete through the beta process are removed when you are on a non-beta, e.g., 11.4 release version.

how is 11.4 on X?
Really good.

FaceID which has been gradually improving over the past 6 months is the fastest yet. Task switcher animation is faster and smoother than 11.3 in my experience.

Too soon to tell about battery life but it was pretty good for me on 11.3.1 and I can’t imagine it would be worse.

I’d go ahead and update your X.
