Really good.

FaceID which has been gradually improving over the past 6 months is the fastest yet. Task switcher animation is faster and smoother than 11.3 in my experience.

Too soon to tell about battery life but it was pretty good for me on 11.3.1 and I can’t imagine it would be worse.

I’d go ahead and update your X.

Cant, I don’t make moves until a jailbreak comes along. But glad to hear it’s a good experience !

On 11.1.1 strong

Apple Pay Cash has appeared for me since updating to this from beta 6. I am in the UK. I cannot complete the setup though as it is U.S. only. Has anyone else had APC appear as well?

I am not one to complain about battery life on the same day as release, but my 8 Plus is absolutely horrendous. I have charged my phone twice from 25 to 100 since 10:30 am. Something is majorly wrong. Getting 3 hours of usage.

I have never experienced something this bad. I’m gonna disable iCloud messages.

That sync takes a long time but I believe it pauses when it’s unplugged so that shouldn’t be the cause of your drain.

Thats an absolute worst case scenario. Even with health in the cloud, setting up an Apple Watch as new and re-calibrating it, is an absolute PITA.

Do you have a lot of photos syncing? Sometimes it re-syncs the entire library after an update.
You probably already done a hard reset after the update and regular shut down after? I've done both on iOS 11. For some reason, hard reset only makes my usage and standby times the same sometimes after an update and a regular shutdown clears it.

I know, it's still in beta. I don't have a Mac to use Coconut Battery.
Try iMazing on Windows. You only need the trial version to check battery health. In my observation that battery health meter on iPhone is slightly inaccurate. It reports my X battery at 92% but iMazing and Coconut battery voh report it at 95%

I hardly keep any photos on my phone, but photo syncing is supposed to only occur when plugged in. So the fact that I am going from 100% to 25% in under 3 hours shows something is not right. Ive done the hard restart and all that fun stuff and it didn't seem to fix it. I'm leaving it docked overnight and will see what happens in the first hour or so in the morning. Really don't want to deal with restoring, but I haven't had this bad of battery life in about 3-4 years.

Only other thing I can think of is to download the ipsw and reinstall the update. Maybe something happened during the OTA update?

I'm about to put mine up on Craigslist. I'm sick on the gyrations you have to through every time you update the iPhone and try to re-pair the Watch. I'm tired on new iOS versions destroying the ability to play music on the iPhone from the Watch. I'm tired of watch faces not being set as default on the Watch (this is new). I'm just sick of it.

You need a fresh install to fix this, I have it on my iPhone 8 and only set as new fixed it!

This isn't new I've had it since the first iOS 11 release, I was hoping Apple would fix it at some point but as updates have come and gone and I still have it on 11.4. As for resetting all settings fixing it, it does not, already tried that, a fresh install maybe the only way.

If you just change your search settings to not search the Settings app and then reenable that, the duplicates will go away. It's apparently a matter of the Spotlight index needing to be rebuilt.

That did not work for me, and neither does Reset All Settings but just discovered how to fix this damn bug at LAST.

If you go to General - Language & Region and change the iPhone Language to another, I changed mine to another version of English, just to be sure I force quit the app, and searched for something in Settings, no more duplicates, changed back to UK English and it's still fixed.

FINALLY, been waiting on Apple to fix this bug since iOS 11 released and it wasn't even them that sorted it in the end, eeesh.:apple:

Is the visual signal bar bug still there?
Eg when opening apps, the signal bar appears to have no signal strength?

Open Settings, go to Siri & Search and then scroll down to find the section labeled Settings. Tap on that, and turn off Search & Siri Suggestions and also "Show App" when that appears. Wait a few seconds and then turn "Search & Siri Suggestions" back on.
Cheers mate. I did a clean install before I saw this, so maybe for next time if that happens. Thanks.

Great battery on my X. Disconnected from charger 7:30 this morning, and showing 93% now at 12:53. 11.3.1 wasn’t this good
