Battery life isn’t bad now. Has improved over time. Usage includes basic stuff like FB, Twitter, some YouTube, messaging, email, a few minutes here and there with games, safari, etc. iP7+

iPad Pro 9.7 is running great too. Things took a bit to settle in.

No, it's not just you. I also thought this was rather backwards given that the numbers are at the top so why not flick up???
WEIRD! IMHO

I assume it's cause your finger would block the vision in case you'd flick up.
I would love to have this feature on the iPhone as well.

Maybe the same reason you move the content down on the trackpad to scroll up. You're kind of moving the character on top down to the primary "insertion" place. If you flick up, it's like moving the primary character away from the key, and that doesn't make sense in that context.

Oh yeah, I forgot they changed that too. I can't stand the way that worked so always had it disabled on my Mac.

For those mentioning a bluetooth bug in control centre: as per the release notes this is intended behaviour. You cannot disable bluetooth entirely from the control center - only end active connections. Bluetooth stays on at all times unless in airplane mode where it can be toggled on/off as normal.

This presumably is so Handoff etc. works all the time. Still feels a bit shifty to me.

Is that why my Wifi won't turn off anymore? Seems like a bad design to me. The whole point was making it easier to do things without having to go into the settings app but now when I leave the house, I have to manually go into settings and turn the Wifi off in hopes of slowing the battery drain

not sure whether this has been covered....

My iMessage messages are all over the place......i.e all messages time-stamped to today and all jumbled up!!

anyone else??
Me too! And I'll get some imessages on my watch but not on my phone.....at all. Super odd that it'd show in messages on one device but not the other that it's bluetoothed too

Sometimes the music player is in the lock-screen despite nothing using it and I can't get rid of it unless I reboot. Also at one point the home button wouldn't exit me out of settings. Aside from that its okay. How long do you think until an update?
I have and when I'm playing music it won't always show it on the lock screen or CC. And it's stuck showing one song on my watch no matter what but at least I can change the song and volume that way lol

It's not in the wiki and I haven't noticed this in prior iOS versions, but there is a "shut down" option under reset in general now.

Much better for me than 10 b1. Complaints are mostly double tapping to open apps, Square and Disneyland apps don't work, the WiFi button doing nothing of use for me (want it to turn WiFi on and off), the cellular button in CC (why???), and the music app having problems (shows on lock screen when not using but won't show anywhere/correctly when using). And since b1, terrible battery life and sometimes getting very hot. Loving the dark quick reply keyboard tho!!

Beta 1 is probably the worst/laggiest beta ever - strictly for developer usage at the moment.

Not in my case. It is buggy, however not as buggy when iOS 10 came out. But it’s really nice to see improvements like control centre and new animations and fonts.

All fine and great, but for me there’s a really annoying thing with control center. So when I want to hide it by swiping down, the new brightness and volume sliders are exactly where my thumb is, so instead of swiping down, I’m instantly adjusting volume or brightness.

Did anybody find a way to hide the „Message app“ bar in messages? Don’t need it and don’t want it.
how about clicking the home button to dismiss CC?

Maybe they are more commonly used in China.
is this true? QR code support is only available in Chinese localization?
EDIT: It's true, i was rewatching the Keynote and they have a slide that shows only China gets QR code support, SMS Fraud Extension, Traffic Cameras Phone number as Apple ID, Shanghainese dictation and a 10-key pinyin keyboard :(
what's strange is that on another slide that shows a bunch of other features not reviewed during the keynote, all of the above chinese features end with "... in China" except for QR code support. So perhaps, QR Code APIs are available for all localizations but only in China has it been baked into the camera app.

The lock screen rotates!

Phone is so huge that clicking the home button to dismiss CC kills the point. You have to adjust your grip and it isn't anywhere nearly as fluid. Neither is the new look, it's a killer on the eyes. So many questionable design choices...

I think that these fields need to be switched. When I’m in a given inbox, that title should be big, so I have a better idea of where I am in the mail app. The consistent “inbox” doesn’t give as much awareness. Feature request has been filed.

It’s not true. I scanned a QR code straight from the stock camera app this very morning (link to an app for the new quadcopter I got). I’m in the US.

This is the buggiest beta I have seen in a while. While this is expected it's annoying. I have so many bugs to file I don't have the time.
- imessage truncation: messages longer than actually displayed (copy message and the whole thing is actually in the clipboard)
- safari locking up on iPad when watching video
- notifications stop being sent to watch
- can't edit many photos with extensions (likely not a bug)
- carplay is a mess (no directions but voice, constant crashes, siri locks up)
and on and on and on
I just said the same thing above you. Out of all the betas I've used this is the buggiest. Anyone saying they're having zero issues is either lying or isn't even really using their phone. You're using the first beta and have zero issues? Yea right. Even the GM is always buggy.

No idea if this has been mentioned but we’re 50 pages in now.

Nice touch - when using “hey Siri, call (whoever)” it will start the phone call in Speakerphone. iOS 11 seems to be a real bunch of small refinements being put together. Overall, it’s becoming a pleasant surprise

Dunno why but new iTunes Store icon.

[doublepost=1497152889][/doublepost]Anyone else’s video app vanished?

I know the new TV app will replace it, but it’s gone from iPhone 6S+ and iPad Pro Gen 1.

I have a space on my home screen where it should be.

Did I miss something in the release notes?

I can vouch for that. This is in fact the only beta I’ve used that has resprung more than once. It’s also the only beta I’ve used that has multiple graphical glitches and makes the device the warmest.
