I just said the same thing above you. Out of all the betas I've used this is the buggiest. Anyone saying they're having zero issues is either lying or isn't even really using their phone. You're using the first beta and have zero issues? Yea right. Even the GM is always buggy.

The only bugs I've ever experienced so far:
1. Sloppy transition opening apps but it appears smother if reduced motion is on.
2. Control center toggles aren't working as expected. WIFI toggles works when turning on but turning off WIFI or bluetooth still shows its "ON" but "Not Connected" in settings app despite it appears off on the Control Center
3. Sending screenshot pictures via iMessage sometimes shows a blank image but when opening the image shows the actual picture. Also, after replying a message and hit back to view list of convos, the previous message is highlighted. To remove the highlight, I had to open another message.
4. Battery seems pretty awful close to 5.5 hours of use on 100% compared to iOS 10.3.3 beta 2 with 100% battery up to close to 10 hours of use (#10 might be the cause)
5. Raise to wake + rest finger to unlock screen does not work as intended without pressing down on the home button
6. Geekbench 4 shows reduced performance compared to iOS 10.3.3 beta for CPU but increase performance for GPU
7. In the appswitcher when closing apps when you thought you closed all the apps but when you swipe left or right you may find some apps hidden
8. Sometimes the music player shows up in the lockscreen/notification screen which I have no idea how to remove it
9. In settings app, iCloud picture does not show until you tap on it. To show iCloud picture in AppStore, you will need to tap on iCloud in the settings app first.
10. After updated to iOS 11 beta, the default setting for fetch is automatic compared to manual how I had it before iOS 10.3.3 (I've set it to manual so far to see if it improves battery)
11. Sometimes the time disappears when opening apps
12. Can't swipe to open apps in lockscreen and 3D touch can't open apps like IG to respond back but can 3D touch to reply to messages. Apps notification you got to 3D touch and tap one more to respond to it

Pretty minor bugs. Shouldn't cellular signal bars have 5 bars instead of 4? Probably a different measurement for signal strength. The only thing I love on this beta is that quick reply has a dark keyboard

Can't you just press the home button?
As I have a physical button I want to preserve its life. So having the home screen as an option was brilliant just like the 3D switcher.

While in an app, Swipe up from the bottom. Activates the dock. Drag the app you want to use to the side. Boom. Multitask/split screen.

I’m not a liar and I use my phone a lot and the beta is very stable for me.

In almost a week, I had 1 respring only.
No major bug that would make the phone unusable on a daily basis.

But I’ve also done some basic things that you should try before making silly assumptions. It’s not uncommon devices behave differently.

Restart. Cold restart. Sign out-in of iCloud. Reset all settings. Backup and restore.

And of that doesn’t help... when 10.3.2 is there for you ;)

I never walk, in case my legs wear out (everything wears out but most things are designed or evolved to be useful for their lifetime, in most cases)

So having the home screen as an option was brilliant just like the 3D switcher.

It’s an option. At the switcher tap on anything that is free space outside the control centre.

screenshots!!
Sorry about the status bar, it bugged out.

I have to say I am very impressed with how stable this beta is. I know others might be having some issues but I have it running on a 12inch iPad and it works great so far.

Impressions so far is that the app switcher is much better with this new layout. Love the files apps. Really been looking forward to something like this as I use iCloud to store my docs. Also loving drag and drop.
I don’t like however that my ad blockers are not working. But I’m sure this will be fixed sooner or later.

This beta is so damn slow! Switching from app to app or going back to the home screen has a 0.5 to 1 second delay before the animation kicks in.... Anyone have a fix? Reading other users on Reddit stating they're not having that issue but a ton of others are....
Double click home, remove all current in memory apps then you are back to snappy interface

Can't stand the new lock screen music layout. Was nothing wrong with the album art before. Looks way nicer having the big art IMO

It’s Patrick
[doublepost=1497152889][/doublepost]Anyone else’s video app vanished?

I know the new TV app will replace it, but it’s gone from iPhone 6S+ and iPad Pro Gen 1.

I have a space on my home screen where it should be.

Did I miss something in the release notes?

I guess you don't have the TV app, but the videos app natively.
Same for me, just re-download it from appstore.

This dev beta 1 is certainly rough. The only one I can remember being this rough was iOS 7 Dev Beta 1. I'm not complaining, one should dive into Dev Beta 1 without expecting things to be rough. At least wait for the first public beta, there's a reason why there won't be a public beta until July and at that time I bet we have already arraived at dev beta 3-4 or something.

It's not like it's useless. But I have springboard crashes very often, Apple Music keeps crashing at random and causes huge battery strain for no apparant reason. Videoplayback in Safari is a mess, most videos don't play using this new videoplayer. Content Blockers don't work unless you disabled almost all active filters. Videoplayback in Plex doesn't work, videoplayback in ProTube using it's default player doesn't work etc..

One thing I've noticed, and I hope this is a "bug" and not an intended change. I'm no longer able to set Mail.app notifications to be displayed on the lock screen. That option is no longer available for Mail.app. I hope this is not intended, as I want my Mail to be displayed on the lock screen just like every other notification. This has always been disabled by default in iOS for some reason, but I have always activated it manually. But the option has been completely removed in this beta and I hope that's not intended. Otherwise I might be forced to use third-party mail-apps and I prefer the stock one.

I see no reason why it should cover the entire screen like it used to. It won't show if you had new notifications either, so I suspect the new one is design to better fit so it can be displayed with additional content being visable as well. And I hope the new API makes it so that apps like Sonos that wants to control your volume and playback all while the app it's not really playing back anything now will be able to do so. Sonos has to do a "hack" with it's current app so it plays back a silent file in order for it to show on the lock screen so you would be able to control Sonos during playback on the iOS lock screen and this is causing huge battery strain for something that shouldn't really strain your battery at all.

The previous way of having notifications while playing music was fine. If they're so concerned about space then what is the point of having the tiny square which shows the album art at all?

Love the beta but cannot for the life of me understand the decision to "remove" the notification center. The new setup makes absolutely no sense. You pull down from the top of your screen and you're back to your lock screen?? And then you have to swipe up again to see more notifications? It seems so redundant and so very un-Apple like.

Hoping this will be something that's tweaked upon. The notification center has changed with every iOS update and somehow it's going in the wrong direction of improvement.

Yeah, I really don't like that either. Notification center was fine.

This is because this isn't the Apple that we grew up loving. Tim Cook and Co. run things completely different than before and the innovation just isn't there anymore.

This is becoming more and more correct sadly.

They are coming closer to Android in a way which is what people have been asking for.
Anyways we are only on beta 1 which means that there will be a lot of adjustments (remember the first versions of the control center on iOS 10 betas).

Let’s see what the future betas will bring.

I'm know I'm asking too much from beta 1, but I'd just like it if my apple watch music face complications would show what is playing and/or be able to see the music on my iPhone.

Everything else was working fine for the most part. I did notice when you closed the phone app, it would take up the left hand side of the screen until you hit the home button. And, as noted before my iPhone 7+ seemed to get warm.
