Its just the performance and battery.

Beta is stable, very few resprings and so on.

Ios 11 feels like they did the same thing they did for sierra. A high ios 10. You see refinements in every corner of the os.

But still lots of essential features are missing.

As I have a physical button I want to preserve its life. So having the home screen as an option was brilliant just like the 3D switcher.
You still have the home screen as an option, as have been noted before: Touch anywhere other than the cards to return to the home screen.

Looks like iCloud Shared Storage is working just fine. I enabled it from my iOS 11 device and then it showed up on the iOS 10 devices from the family share. I chose the family share option for each separate iCloud account and then downgraded their own accounts to the free 5GB. Pretty neat!
I tap the Share With Family button under manage storage, and nothing happens?

Do you have the 200GB or 2 TB plans?

Same here. Have 200GB plan.

They

They come two weeks apart so it will be the next Monday, the 19th.

Not necessarily... 13 days, 14 days, 15 days, 22 days, 6 days, 4 days, 8 days, 7 days, 3 days... they come whenever Apple releases them.

Yes. I have family sharing with my wife.
NOt sure, but somewhere on that screen the Family Sharing started showing up. Only after I went to the other devices did anything else show up on that Family Sharing screen. I would check on your wife's iPhone to see if that option shows up under iCloud storage.

huh. This is weird. Tried again, and still nothing happened. Left the phone on the screen while I checked if the setting appeared on beta.icloud.com or in the iCloud system preferences. Eventually it must have gone through, because now the screen shows Family Usage.

So is it now safe to downgrade my wife's account to the free option or does a migration of her data need to take place?

YMMV. It's a beta... not sure how "beta" the family share iCloud thing is... but previous beta releases have included iCloud wipes for various reasons... at this point, a backup of everything important would probably be a good idea.

Yeah that part I’m not sure about. This seemed to go smooth enough and there were no changes to the iCloud data itself but I am worried about everything getting wiped before the public launch. So I’m going to perform local backups of both of our iCloud photo libraries on a regular basis.

Are all your devices on iOS 11?

Again, not necessarily true. Beta 1 for the past 8 releases:

Beta Days
9.0 15
9.1 14
9.2 7
9.3 14
10.0 22
10.1 13
10.2 7
10.3 13

Whilst that may work for interim updates (x.1, x.2 etc)

All major version changes (3.0, 4.0, 5.0 etc) have been at least 2 weeks (10.0 beta 2 was 3wks) from Beta 1 to Beta 2.

So I would be highly surprised to see a new beta today. But as with anything Apple will stick to their schedule and not one to appease people in this thread.

That’s true. I’m just thinking it was visually better for users.

New feature (I think!): When a Safari link opens a new tab, sliding in from the left of the screen closes that tab and returns to the parent tab.

I know this existed on the Mac before now, but I think it’s new to iOS - can anyone confirm this?

Thats cool. Didnt know if its in ios 10 too but all those cool little things <3

Would be surprised to see a new beta today but a new one that boosts the performance to a normal level would be kickass
