New feature (I think!): When a Safari link opens a new tab, sliding in from the left of the screen closes that tab and returns to the parent tab.

I know this existed on the Mac before now, but I think it’s new to iOS - can anyone confirm this?

Thats cool. Didnt know if its in ios 10 too but all those cool little things <3

Would be surprised to see a new beta today but a new one that boosts the performance to a normal level would be kickass

Doesn't do this for me on 10.3.3 beta 2 iPhone 6. Neat :)

Keyboard sluggish, phone app crashing and Copy-Paste sluggish as well (three different manifestations of the same problem because they all arise at the same time) Going crazy, after a downgrade and back to iOS 11 everything went well for a week, now keyboard problems and phone app crashing everytime - did the same process again but this time the bug went back after just two hours. Downgrading this time to remain on iOS 10 - it doesn't seems like a commong bug but it's probably the worst

Not sure if its been posted or not but if you go into messages and click on "Edit" it now has a animation when you click "cancel"

working very smooth on my se if anyones curious! can't comment on battery life since it's my backup in airplane mode.

Edit: when going to delete a message in the Messages app it now has the option to Hide alerts from said number/contact.

It's rare to see a new beta release the week after WWDC, because so many of the engineers are busy with all the dev sessions. I wouldn't bet on a new beta today or tomorrow, but I would take one :)

Aren't the engineers better at engineering? I mean, they have plenty more of "small hands" doing the coding and implementation of what the engineers planned

A huge thanks to whoever found out the workarounds for app launch delay and content blocker issue.

We’re talking about x.0 releases, not the other minor updates. Those beta 2s typically come out two weeks after beta 1.
I think if we've learned one thing about the beta process during iOS 10, its that Apple will release a beta when its ready. Everyone cited the 2 week cycle during Dev Beta 1 and Apple released Beta 2 after 3 weeks, along with the Public Beta. Don't get hung up on what's occurred in the past: one, the sample size is too small to generalize and two, Apple has changed how it ships these releases over time, so the past is not a reliable predictor, in any event.

Probably a silly question, but does Background App Refresh still need apps to be already open in order to update?

After a fresh restore, this beta is actually pretty stable with little or no glitches other than the broken Control Center WiFi and Bluetooth toggles. For the app delays or stutters when launching apps, you'll have to clear all apps in the AppSwitcher. I cleared all apps and restart the phone which made everything smoother. I still did a restore to see how's performance is when it's set up as new.

The issue I'm having is my phone will randomly restart/reboot throughout the day, sometimes consecutively and less than minutes apart, but ONLY when I'm connected to my work WIFI??
I turned it off and it did not happen once, I turned it back on and within minutes it was doing it again.
Strange o_O

Have you tried doing a network reset? Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings and will delete all WiFi passwords and try connecting to work WiFi again

Can someone say something about the performance of the iPad Air 2 and the iPhone 6 Plus under iOS 11? Both devices are one of the older ones, which are getting iOS 11. Is iOS 11 running as smooth as iOS 10?

From all that I've read, Apple's engineering team is still a small team. And it takes a lot of time to process all the feedback, and squash bugs as they move from beta to beta. I think beta 2 will be here sometime next week. Obviously there's no way to tell for sure.

I think the intended functionality for the Control Center WiFi and Bluetooth buttons has changed, according to the release notes.

I see that that the transparent dock still hasn't made a return. I was hoping, particularly with the upcoming release of a early bezel-free iPhone, that we'd get a clear dock once more. I absolutely hate the translucent one currently in place. It just makes photos look, well, bad.

So I've noticed, in addition to the YouTube toolbar issue, some other screens get "cut off" on the top. For example, if I use the share sheet to send something by iMessage, when I type the recipient's name, their contact is actually scrolled up where I can't see it. I have to scroll down. I wonder if this in a byproduct of the new iPhone 8 screen, which may be dimensionally taller?

Also, for those who are still having issues updating apps through the app store, try downloading a free app requiring authentication first. There seems to be an AppleID authentication issue for updates.
