I just can't believe I had none of these issues with Beta 1, but everything went to hell with beta 2. Springboard crashes, CPU usage, battery life, accessory bug. Thats not even half of it. Not one of these issues occurred on beta 1 for me.

I’m thinking of downgrading to beta 1. A pain but looks like have to downgrade to 10.3.3 then upgrade to iOS 11 beta 1

7 Plus, some mid use in general (heavy instagram use for like 1 hour, but thats all 34%)

Hi.
I'm new in Apple world. I got iPad Mini 4 two months ago. This week I enrolled the beta program just for fun of it.
So far I have some complains but the annoying ones are:

* Stuttering (low fps) in appswitcher/control center screen.
* From time to time the dock bar stops appearing. After a restart it's back again (for a while).
* Gestures are inconsistent, sometimes I have to repeat them.

Long press on the notification so that it pops up in a white box then press the x in the corner

Yeah but it should't be like that it should be like in iOS10 swipe left on notification until "clear" option will show up that way was much easier to remove notification

My biggest issue with iOS11 is

IN photo library got info that my iPhone downloading 1 Original even left all night still didn't download that one photo
iMessage to iCloud takes forever had about 2GB, left the phone all night and still has't finish yet got 119MB left.
IN iMessage all txt's are not in order

ONE more when alarm is on I've got black screen

Yeah typical for a beta. Should improve over the next few.

Oh, thanks for reply. Not having experience with iOS I was wondering if iPad Mini 4 is too old for 11.

I don't think it would be too old. The beta is not all that smooth even on the iPhone 7. So give it a few more updates and you should notice a big difference.

Have got the usage and standby times bug (both reporting the same time) on my iPad 10.5 and iPhone 6s. Hard reset sometimes fixes it, but then returns after a full charge. Hope it’s fixed in next beta as iPhone loses more battery in standby with this bug.

I know there’s no real reason to, and they don’t recommend it, but I feel like the app switcher could do with a ‘close all’ button.

Also, multitasking on iPad seems to have a bit of a learning curve to it on iOS 11. It definitely works differently from iOS 10. But also pleasantly surprised that the iPad mini supports it - though it is slow!

For a nightmare is with messages, random order. I'll get a txt and it's not on the top it might be in the middle or right at the bottom of the list of all my messages.

Using Lirum app, cpu seems to be locked in at certain frequency. Sadly, We’re unable to see what process or app is causing this.

After spending a couple hours examining my CPU usage with Xcode I have determined two processes that are causing the issue: dataaccessd and mediaanalysisid. I get a few spikes with photoanalysisid and mobileassested. I honestly have no idea what any of these do (besides photoanalysisid). From my research around the developer forums, a restore as new is probably the best bet. A pain in the butt, but thats what I get for installing betas. So if anyone is experiencing high battery drain, and an overall slower device. Download Xcode and check instruments. You may find your problem.

If you have a Mac, download Xcode beta. You can use instruments to figure it out.

Well I find a bug. Reset all content and settings button doesn't work.. Well then.

Before restoring as new, as its a pain, try deleting all your email accounts and add them back one at a time. Dataaccessd is linked with ActiveSync and mobileassetd manages wifi/cellular data.
Last time I had really bad battery drain, it was caused by a corrupted calendar on one of my accounts. Worth a try before spending the time on setting up as new.

The only email account I have is iCloud, and I deleted it yesterday, then set it up again. The reset all settings and content button isn't working, so I guess I am just gonna suck it up till beta 3. Don't have the internet connection to download the .ipsw. Thanks for your help though! I appreciate it!

What is your ‘Fetch New Mail’ set to? Mine is on push but have you tried to set it to Manual or Fetch Hourly? I don’t get a lot of email on iCloud so not sure if this would help for the time being or not.

Even better if you have a 3D Touch device, 3D Touch a notification and pull down to dismiss like on Apple Watch.

Also works for non 3D Touch devices. Just long hold, wait for the notification to start opening, and then swipe down.

I have push on and fetch set to automatic. iCloud uses Push, so it shouldn't be using anything fetch related. I can try setting that to manual, to see if that helps.

Yeah, I would also set Fetch to something other than 'automatic'. There could be a bug with the 'automatic' setting where it gets stuck pinging the server constantly, which may explain the high CPU usage with the mobileassetd and dataaccessd processes.
