I’m getting constant, and I mean every hour, crashing to home screen in Messages on iPhone 7 Plus. Always happens when typing a message. Though I am running PB1 so don’t know how appropriate that is for this thread. Have reported officially.

CarPlay is not fully functional as in the messages app still has a lot of bugs and replies and reading the messages aloud don’t always work. It seems to have many issues with Bluetooth connection in the car, but CarPlay is a good workaround for now.
It’s interesting because I’m not having this messages issue others are having on my iPad..

Put the phone on the charger while you sleep. Problem solved.
That's not how you ship a product when it's stable. .
You want a solution/fix, not a patch..

Kinda defeats the purpose of beta testing as well. "I can mentally live with this patch to the problem,... moving on" >- nah, figure out what's possibly causing it, find a way to reproduce, report back through feedback app .. THEN patch it until it's fixed. But maybe that's what you meant right

Yep, around 4-8% within a 5.5-7 hour sleeping period.

5-10% within 6-8 hours

Well now my incoming text notifications are just showing the phone number, they are no longer even saying “Maybe: NAME” in front of them. What’s going off here?

for me, the main culprits of the huge battery drain are:

iPad Pro 9.7 - Youtube (background activity)
iPhone 6 - Whatsapp & Facebook (background activity)

Same here with Facebook consuming a lot of battery for me, BUT this has always been my biggest hitter. I’m not sure if mine is worse on this iOS 11 beta 2

the problem for facebook app has been there since Beta 1 ..
However, on the battery drain of youtube app for my iPad Pro, it has been there since iOS 10!

The problem goes WAY beyond any iOS beta... the FaceBook app has been a huge battery drain since it was introduced... and for some reason, Apple refused to crackdown on it an other apps that appear to ignore the "background app refresh" settings.

I’m getting a lot of battery drain once i unplug the phone from being charged. Once unplugged it when I woke up, went back to sleep for an hour and saw it was at 91% without having used it. Last few days my battery usage has been like this as well. Only started like this last week, not sure why. Anyone know how I can fix this?

It is an issue with the build. There have been many reports of this. There is no fix. Setting up the device as new does nothing.

Im on the opposite side of this. Im going on 2 hours off the charger, 1 hour of usage according to the device and I'm still at 93%. iPhone 7p

It's indisputably an issue with the build but I'm not seeing the same pattern on either iPhone or iPad on DP2

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I don’t know why they have not implemented scheduled reset dates for cellular usage in settings. I always forget to reset it when my cycle renews.

Please keep this thread to a discussion of the current beta. There’s a whole other thread where you can speculate to your heart's desire about future releases.

Thank you. We can come in and say the same thing every day and the answer is always going to be the same.

"Only Apple knows."

A hard reset sometimes fixes this for me, but then reverts back after a couple of full charges.
