The biggest "work around" is to not install beta software on a device that you depend on. Unfortunately, I've seen the behavior you are experiencing from time to time with Apple's iOS beta software... stuff happens sometimes, and many times, the bug that affect you may not affect me, and vice versa.
Thank you for replying!

So, am I the only one experiencing this glitch?

I've tried your suggested solution, unfortunately, my problem still persists. :(

I doubt that you are the only one... but not every bug affects every user... and sometimes you just have to wait for Apple to fix it. It sucks, but that the nature of a beta release...

I was just wondering whether you guys have any solution to this. Apparently, there was none. Anyway, thank you!

I will just wait for the beta 3, then. I hope it would come soon.

Battery life is my biggest complaint thus far. I’ve got a ip6 and before the pb1 I was getting almost 2 days on a charge. Now I’m getting 1 at best. Like others I’ve noticed that the charge drops precipitously when using air play.

As others have noted before, my battery drains a ton whilst the phone is on standby. Like if my phone is on standby for multiple hours, it could lose like 40% battery. I guess I just have to turn it off. Hopefully beta 3 fixes this.

Tried searching for this but came up with no answers to two issues I'm experiencing (in addition to those already addressed here): (1) Messages App randomly deletes/removes entire message threads (i.e., after a new message is sent, and after closing and opening Messages App, entire previous thread is missing); and (2) Apple Watch appears as "Disconnected" even though Bluetooth is on and is within close proximity of Phone.

Does iOS 11 allow you to "Open In" an mp3 or m4a from one app into the iOS Music app?

Music shows up in the share sheet when you share an mp3 from the Files app and something appears to happen when you share to it, but no trace of the file in the Music app afterwards. It might come along in a later beta though.

Straight from Safari, Music isn't a target for sharing right now.

I've had the same issue with entire threads disappearing, but quitting the Messages app and restarting usually fixes it (or sometimes a reboot). I've never actually lost a thread; they all eventually reappear. It's happened to me 3 or 4 times since installing this beta.

Battery life for me on my 7 Plus is pretty awful, but hey, it's an early beta.

Anyone else see voice-to-text capitalizing every word, instead of typing in sentence case? That one is driving me nuts!

I have yet to see disappearing threads, but I have had undelivered messages to my beta device. They come through on the Stable macOS software but sometimes get lost coming to my iOS devices on beta. If this happens to anyone else, either deleting the thread works (which i do not do, data hoarder) or signing in and out of imessage makes it work for me. You will NOT get any of the undelivered messages to the device with this workaround, though.

(Yes, I have a bug report filed)

Interesting tidbit. When I put my Apple Watch on its charger at night, I usually have about 50% battery remaining. But for some reason, with my 7 Plus running PB1, the Apple Watch is always on about 26% when I attach to charger. Apple Watch is not running a beta OS, I’ll add. Not sure what could be causing the Watch to drain more, with iOS 11

Yes! I had that issue too!!! Also, with respect to the Watch, I had to Unpair and Pair to iron out the kinks.
[doublepost=1499308373][/doublepost]Battery in Notifications also is incorrect and “frozen” on the battery levels for phone and watch that were when I first installed this beta.

Has anyone else noticed the battery widget for the Apple Watch is totally off? Phone says 89% but my watch is at 63% right now. Did a unpair/re-pair a few days ago and same issue. Not a bug that will cause a stoppage but a bit annoying.

Yes I have the same problem.

Also if you go under the Watch app on your iPhone, general, usage my battery never shows anything. Just - for both usage and standby after a full charge.

Hi!

I'm new here. I own an iPhone 5s and upgraded it to ios 11 beta 2 update 1. My biggest problem is that I can't download any apps from the appstore. It's always stucked at the rotating semi-circle for a few minutes and eventually goes back to the "Get" button. Are there any work-arounds or solutions to this glitch?

Thank you very much!

Do you have multiple devices? If you do, you may need to go to Settings>iTunes&App Store>View Apple ID>Payment Info>either enter security code of current card on file or update it to a different card. After, retry downloading an app.

Same! I've experienced glitches with the message app. I would see new notification but I don't see any new messages. I would have to force close the app and relaunch it to see it. Also, when you delete a thread of message by swiping right to left, the thread below the "deleted" thread would clash with the message thread above. Another bug, at times, there is a gray highlight on a thread, the only way to remove the highlight is to tap on "Edit" or force close message app.

I don’t think this feature will be introduced any time soon. On the other hand, if it is introduced, iPad would be one step closer to be an independent computer, as iTunes is not that needed for local library after all.

Got a pair a beats x earphones. Turned on. The picture appeared and then the phone paired.

Went to bluetooth and it was spinning a wheel. Unable to disconnect, remove or turn bluetooth off and on.

Rebooted the phone and they worked :) Reported to Apple.

Has anyone noticed the slo-mo in the native camera app acting strangely, its like it cannot focus, and thus keeps focusig in and out making the video blurry? It works normally with normal 60fps video? Is this an iOS 11 thing?
