This beta has really been superb for me so far—essentially no complaints to be had (besides a strange delay after slide-typing wirh my preferred third-party keyboard; not a big deal). Everything feels fast, fluid, and incredibly stable, even battery life. Verizon iPhone SE.

Sorry to all of those with pesky, persistent issues.

I see a lot of messages pointing how bad beta 3 is and how bad this beat cycle is so far.

To be honest, beta 2 wasn’t the best, still very much usable though.

Beta 3 seems to be a mixed plate, my wife and i (6s / 7+) have been very happy with beta 3.

Less bugs
Less heat
Snappier
More broken features restored
More eye candy

Personally,I like it and have no major issues.

Music widget on lockscreen and in control center

I noticed in IOS 11 that the now playing music information no longer shows the album title. Now just the artist and song title are displayed. As far as I can remember, IOS has always shown artist, song, and album title information.

I wonder why the album title would be removed?

I think you have to download the updated beta profile in order to get beta 3 OTA.

So I just tried submitting a new bug with the feedback app but when choosing the build it’s not showing the current beta 3 build only the older builds. When I go to about in settings it shows I’m on the beta 3 build.

Anyone else seeing this?

My iPhone Storage sections is not working since the first beta. It shows the recommendations but it doesn’t show my apps and the space they are using. It just keeps showing the loading icon ! It’s a bug i think.

I take it there is no PB for Apple Watch? Cause I installed the beta profile but have yet to receive any updates.

Can someone try this out for me on their ipp 10.5?

Load in the photo app (if it’s on your first page), close it, then flick to the right to load widgets.

This causes a springboard crash every time for me. Just wandering if it’s a bug on all 10.5 iPads.

Thanks.

And since 2011 why haven’t you realized that betas don’t have quality standards, they’re meant for only testing purposes, they’re meant to be terrible.
So it's not ok for me to talk about how slow or fast they are or how buggy or not they are?

Oh come on. There are standards, they are just lower than those for public final releases. They are not meant to be terrible, they are just somewhat allowed to be. There's no a priori reason why Apple couldn't perfect iOS 11.0 a couple of months ahead of release - and Apple would be happy they were ahead of schedule, rather than disappointed that they release a stable beta - oh dear! And addressing the original point, there is no reason Apple would aim to regress the beta - even though it could happen - so if a user thinks this has happened for the first time in many years, it's an interesting point worth listening to. You don't need to come in with the usual "don't you know what a beta is?!?!?" schtick. Why do people always try to bury discussion by pulling that one out.

Beta 3 is so much better than Beta 2 in that AirPods stay better connected.

I do have one issue that since beta 3 my AirPods don’t stay in my ears. Wonder if they updated them as well!

You are correct. There is no PB for the watch (yet).
Just to clarify: there is not likely EVER to be a public beta so long as the only way to fix a bricked Watch is to ship it back to Apple. Unlike the iOS betas, which can be rolled back by the user, there is no (easy or, I dare say, legitimate, at least in Apple's eyes) way for a user to restore a Watch that has had an unsuccessful install of a beta.

That’s a new one to me.
iPhone connected to a Hotel Wi-Fi and offered to share the Wi-Fi as soon as I opened it.

Still cannot open an app from a notification when the phone is locked.
It is quite annoying, but I have to admit, I enjoy the beta process for seeing the system progress and the little tweaks they make along the way.

I can confirm the bug on my second gen 12.9

Issue with Text Replacement continues: in my Mac mini it's ok, but in my iPhone all gone, from B1

Do you mean using shortcuts on third party keyboards? Such as typing "xoxo" will become "hugs and pugs", "sj" becomes "Smart Jumper", etc.?

If yes, I am facing the same thing with Swiftkey keyboard. Stock keyboard works just fine and picks up the text shortcuts just fine. It's a b3 bug for me. Worked just fine up till beta 2.
