Can someone try disabling and re enabling iMessage and see if it says there was an error? (Although it still appears to activate and function properly)

Works fine for me. When you disable iMessage, I noticed sometimes you have to disable FaceTime as well. Then re-enable both to function properly.

Have you force close the app and relaunch Watch app? Sometimes that happens with the App Store. Like it would have a tiny speck left to complete the circle but hangs. When I force close, I relaunch the App Store and it showed “Open” as it completed the update.

Some Test Text said:
The quick brown iMessage jumps over the lazy fox

Been testing the “Spell” and “Speak” functions and they are all over the place for me. Here’s some fun. Can some people carry out the following tests and describe their results?

Note that you will need Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Speak -> Speak Selection turned on for this. I also have the default US female voice selected.

1) Select the word “the” above and choose “Speak”. This is a warmup, but report what word was spoken.
2) Select the word “quick” above and choose “Speak”. For me this says “The”. In fact it’s always one word behind!
3) Choose “Speak” again from the still present menu and verify it says “quick” now.
4) Select the word “iMessage” and choose “Speak”. For me it says “quick” again.
5) Choose “Speak” once again from the still present menu. Now it says “iMessage” in a weird male French sounding voice. No matter how many times I choose to speak that particular word it does this but...
6) Select the whole sentence and choose “Speak” twice in a row. First time it says “iMessage” in French accent again but the second time it speaks the whole sentence normally, including the word iMessage.
7) Choose any word from the text and select “Spell”. Like “Speak” it operates on the previous selection, though spell only reads the first word so it should spell “The”

I’d be grateful if one or more of you would try this out to see if my iPad is haunted  (and so I can write a cogent report)

Yeah, all of the same exact things happen for me. French voice was very random and caught me off guard! Haha.

Thanks. Appreciate you taking the time.

It seems, with a bit more testing, that it seems to favour non-English languages when the words are the same. Try “futile” or “abnormal” in isolation and you will get the French and Spanish renditions. Commonly adopted Spanish or French (and I’m sure other languages) words or phrases like “Taco”, “San Antonio” or “ranch” will get the treatment too.

Ok. Off to write a bug report :)

Yup, very odd behavior, also I selected the enhanced Siri and still get Samantha?

Yes, all that functionality seems quite broken at the moment. I’ve logged one enhancement (spotlight for short swipe down) and now two bug reports (the trailing speech and the eagerness to speak in a language other than the chosen one) tonight. I think I’ve done enough.

I was worried about updating to PB2 on my iPad 10.5”, and I regret it. Although they’ve fixed about half of the bugs I reported, they introduced a really annoying, new bug that crashes iOS.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have at least two pages of apps
2. Place Mail on page two, not inside of a folder
3. Navigate to page two, and open Mail
4. Press the home button to leave the app
5. Swipe left to return to the first page of apps
6. Observe that iOS crashes

This is happening for me with most apps, but not all. Only on page 2. I reported it, but can anyone else here reproduce it?

Lol. Wow. I’m foldered and docked up on the 1st page so I’m nowhere near reaching the 2nd on my own. I didn’t hold out a lot of hope for reproducing this. I put mail as the lone app on the second page, started it, hit home and then swiped left and *boom* respring.

Nice find and nice, reproducable, test case.

In the photos app in shared photos, on any photo click the share button top right and it just crashes.

Anyone else or just me.

You might find it if you search but I’m pretty sure I saw at least one other person note this. I don’t have any shared photos so haven’t seen it.

I tested this a little more. It’s as you describe but even wider. Seems to be case of “switched page while close animation in progress”. Doesn’t matter whether you swipe left or right, if the close animation is still in progress (maybe even just finished) then it resprings. Nasty. I would likely not have found this as I only have one page and am rarely in a hurry to see widgets from the home screen.

In ipad pro 10.5 there is a bug that desktop icons get closer together and makes respring when you move.
On the iPhone 7 plus it marks the same time of use as rest and the battery is discharged very quickly.
I've tried uninstalling all applications, unlinking the watch, removing the "hey siri" but still wasting battery.
Any solution? Back to 10.3.2?

Reproduced and logged.
[doublepost=1499926096][/doublepost]This might be the most number of bugs I’ve filed in a beta yet. 26 and counting. :) I enjoy logging them as it helps get them fixed. Hope you all are reporting all the bugs you find as well! Looking forward to the next beta to test.

Yeah, I try to verify others have the issue and not just something isolated to me. Thanks.

Sometimes I keep asking myself how some bugs come to be. With PB 1, the localization in the Settings app was largely ok, „Emergency SOS“ was still in English. Now, with PB 2, everything in the Settings app is in English, only „Emergency SOS“ is properly localized.
On the 2nd and 3rd level menues, the localization gets completely mumbled.

Very odd.

Plus: If Apple once got back to us regarding the swiping on Notification items, we knew if it was a bug that it is missing or if they did away with that feature.

I have a iPad pro 10.5" 64GB WiFi model and installed iOS11 PB 2 last night. Everything else workes fine except Wi-Fi. It connects to wlan and drops out after 10-15sec, reconnects, drops, reconnects, drops etc. And if it's in sleep mode over night, it doesn't find any wlan at all. Tried to reset network settings - no luck, hard reset - no luck. Went back to 10.3.2 and Wi-Fi works ok, no dropping or anything. Anybody has excerienced this?

When pressing on the camera icon to attach photos, their is a huge delay before the preview pops up. Long enough to think it didn’t register your press.

This only just started in (beta 3) PB2 and was not an issue in PB1.

There is also a weird graphical glitch with (distorted flashing) when going from photos to control centre / spaces.

P.S. Turns out the graphical glitch is also occurring for other apps too.

Definitely the worst beta yet for me.....crashes, glitches and bugs everywhere on iPP 12.9. Beta 2 was fine in comparison with this.

Downloading new apps from the App Store doesn’t work.
The circle is running, but the app won’t download.

Anyone else? Tried closing the App Store, log out and login again doesn’t help.

Long press in Safari:

When long pressing a link in Safari or Mail (for example) there is a longer delay before the menu pops up.
However when you press just long enough until ready to drag and drop and then release finger the menu pops up straight away.

Edit: Ok now this is really strange it appears to have changed back to normal behaviour since typing this. I can not for the life of me explain this but it was definitely very different for a while and I was able to repeat in multiple apps.
