iPad Pro 10.5, problem is exactly what you describe.

Yep. At least a couple of people have reported it but it wouldn’t hurt for you to do so again. In the meantime you just have to hold off a fraction of a second after you go back to the home screen.

Turning Location services off has, as expected, increased battery life quite a lot for me (PB2, 6s). Not the best solution but workable for most days during this beta period.

In general, PB2 is much smoother than PB1 for me.e

does anyone else feel like public beta 2 runs WORSE than the last one? I mean yes its kinda more snappy overall but its worse IMO stability wise. On my 7 plus in particular it runs horrible, constant freezing up, rebooting, etc. On my 6S weridly enough, it runs better.

This current build is much more buggy than the prior one on my 10.5 ipp getting weird stacks of icons and have been kicked back to the lock screen a few times. The last beta was much more stable.

Sometimes a reset of Hue Bridge and/or AppleTV will clear up transient issues. I suppose that's not really surprising, nothing's perfect. For anything more permanent this reset routine should sort you out.

BTW I did forget to mention that you will have to add your automations again too.

I rebuilt everything on my 7+ with iOS 11 PB2.

I can’t set the background for my home in 11 (oh well, I’ll do that later in a better beta). My changes populated to my iPad Pro on 11.

My SE on 10 sees the rooms and devices, saw the scenes get imported from Hue, but doesn’t see anything with the automation. I can set my background in 10, but it doesn’t carry over to 11.

I set my automations up as I’d like them, so I’ll let you know tomorrow morning if this fixed my issue.

Remove all website data:

Remove all website data no longer logs you out of websites. Not sure if this is a feature or a bug with clearing the data. It appears to clear the list in settings.

P.S. Can others please test and confirm whether they are experiencing the same behaviour?

Weird bug, pressing the 15 second back and forward button on the lock screen doesn't appear to register as a click, as the screen fades to black even if you're still clicking.

I actually had the screen fade to black while typing a reply to an iMessage from Notification Center.

I have to say, there are so many weird bugs in iOS 11, it really amazes me. I think Apple did a great job at polishing iOS 10 before release, they squashed everything I found and it was (although not perfect) pretty smooth.
They have a ton of work ahead of them the next eight weeks (presumably).

Yesterday, I got an email from Apple about a bug I reported where they said I should check if it is still there in Pb 2, it should be fixed. Well, just one check and you see it isn't.

(In case you're interested: the bug shows when commanding Siri to call a specific number for a contact, for example "Hey Siri, call my wife, cell phone number". Siri will tell you there's a problem but call then anyway. Happens since Pb 1 and still does.)

Today alone I sent in three bug reports, not counting the half dozen of the last few days. Or the two dozen sine Pb 1 launched. Rather than postpone the iPhone 8, they should postpone iOS 11 until it's really ready.

I've had the screen fade to black when trying to scrub audio or change volume on the lock screen.

iOS 11 beta 3 on my iPhone 5s is better than beta 1/2 because of how fast it charge compared to previous beta.

Performance wise, I dont see any improvement at all even i factory reset it om beta 3
I mean it is still slow just like the iPhone 4s in iOS 9 in some app launching i think 5s is worst in some areas.
In beta 1 yes it is super slow, but now in beta 3 i dont see any speed differences aside from boot up test

The setting takes 4-6 seconds to launch
The camera takes 5 seconds to launch compared to only 2 seconds camera launch in iOS 10

the most confusing part is my sisters iPhone 6 is about 6 times faster when launching apps, camera takes only 1 second to launch!!?? I mean 5s and 6 should be the same speed because of 1gb ram right!??

don't update to a 2017 OS on a 4 year old device then? no one is forcing you to update to iOS 11 beta if it's as bad as you're saying it is.

I always wanted the Night shift or smart invert color, and other features of iOS 11.

But still, my sister's iPhone 6 is quite ahead about 10 times more responsive than my 5s when launching apps even though they are both 1GB ram.

Geesh. Muscle memory is killing my apps

I already uninstalled a few frequently used apps with 3d touch

I force touch the app and the menu pops up. Then i slide up to tweet or whatever it is. And the apps start to jiggle and i dont even notice i press the x and it is gone before i notice when i move thumb away i slide over the popup.

The whole point is quick no think actions. But most apps dont actually get uninstalled. Thankfully there is a popup

Fun bug. Pfff

As already explained, iPhone 6 has much better CPU than iPhone 5s had, so it's quite normal that it is faster...

New animation when opening an app from the home screen.

Not sure if it is feature or bug but when opening apps from home screen they always slide from the right side of the screen. When opening from apps switcher or from the dock (when in another app) it is the normal animation.

Edit: I guess it is a bug after all. It has reverted back to normal animation again.

Is there something wrong with how gifs load in safari on iOS 11?

Can’t for the life of me get them to load properly..
