Agreed.completely subjective - no one will ever agree on icon designs.
It is to me. We shouldn't accept badly designed icons from a near trillion dollar company that prides itself on perfection (at least in the past). They are changes, and they are bad ones.

thats a matter of personal preference... what you find to be badly designed, others may like... But I suspect that 99.9999% of iphone users could care less.

Steve Jobs called a guy from Google on Sunday just to complain that he didn't like the color of the second O on the Google icon, so it is important. Everything is important when you make products and want to sell them to people.
