iOS 11 Beta 4: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

It has been brought up a few times by myself and a few other users. So when the phone is on, I press the lock button. The screen goes dim for a second or two and then it goes to sleep and makes the lock sound. Sometimes it’ll hang for several seconds and in the meantime, I can’t do anything but wait for it to go to sleep. It’s annoying.

So essentially all you're saying is "delay in lock screen" gotcha.

Yeah, I can definitely see that. I've actually grown to like iOS since 7 in some areas. I guess I prefer skeumorphism because it was more consistent, with each app having its own identity while having less blinding white space. I mean the fact that we're all practically begging for a dark mode these days speaks volumes. I don't recall us wanting one in the pre iOS 7 days. I also prefer the icons and the UI as a whole because I felt it made the device feel more 'premium', like a lot of thought and effort was put behind it. I don't really see that so much today. Anyway, I'm rambling. I'll try not to immediately judge so hastily in the future, it was just my initial reaction. I may actually come to like them.

I agree with you, I am one of those persons who would love dark mode. Because I prefer darker, more subtle gradients and colours. iOS whit all the white space is terrible for me, specially in the night. Every time I open music app at night I almost feel my eyes falling off

I didn't mean it as a joke .. maybe its just an issue with me but when i put in a destination and during my trip it crashes and when i go to delete a destination it closes on me everytime.. so no i really was serious ... did i miss something ??

I had the issue where deleting old destinations would force close the App. So far on first try it's fixed.

A bit off-topic but for me this clearly indicates Touch ID is going to stay in future iPhone versions

It’s not too difficult to replace Touch ID here with, say, facial recognition…

I actually suggested that in the feedback app, It's nice to see that Apple listens.

Home app in notification centre no longer needs to be 3D Touched to open, you can tap like you can on the Apple TV Remote.

Animations are stuttering a lot here. Both on iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Air 2.

Wow, Apple really stepped up their game with this update. A lot more storage space, new icons (a welcome change for me) smoother multitasking, smoother OS overall, smarter "invert colors". They still need to fix the 3d touch of the icons and the performance when using smart invert.

Sorry...hadn't seen those as bug issues in any threads. My only bug I reported was that it crashes when I try to delete a favorite location from the favorites folder.
