Ok I’ve updated to iOS 11 beta 4. Gotta say firstly it feels so much better.

I can confirm AirPods volume definitely better than beta 3. Coming right from iOS 10 I was able to compare the volume literally like 10 mins in between the two versions.

Battery not sure seems better but will know in a couple days.

Has anybody tried to downgrade back to iOS 10.3.3? Is there still a problem with downgrading? Thanks
I've ran it for 24h now and I'm at 48% battery. It's around the same percentage I'd have with iOS 10(.3.3) with my usage due to having this week off and working on university related stuff (means listening to music, checking mails periodically, texting + light phone calling and occasionally browsing the internet).
Don't think you have to downgrade anymore, this seems pretty stable so far.

I do think there is the occasional micro-stutter when on the home screen or opening an app but it's barely noticeable, one could say I'm not even sure if it's really stutter or just placebo. The thing I do notice is that 3DTouching an app on the home screen does not feel as smooth/good as it does on iOS 10 (feels like it's a bit sluggish / has more weight to it).

How is the Watch situation? I have an S2 on the latest watchOS. If I was to update my 7+ to the beta, will notifications work and everything?

Beta 4 has been phenomenal so far compared to prior releases. Fixed my Smart Keyboard problems, battery life has gotten noticeable better, and it’s very fluid. I’d say this is the most DD friendly release yet.

3D Touch is still delayed, which can be annoying at times. There is still some lag when swiping around apps and such, but it’s much less noticeable than before.

Edit: New bug, when re-arranging apps on the doc on my iPad, it will leave a space in the position I moved the app to, instead of moving the app there.

Beta 2 and 3 were reasonably bug-free for me on my 9.7" iPad Pro. A few graphical glitches but little else. Today on Beta 4 I had my first full lockup where I had to hard restart.

Beta 2 was OK for me battery-wise. Beta 3 was horrible. I was losing a percent every 5 minutes. Beta 4 is feeling very good for a beta. Battery seems back to normal and the few bugs I've run across are not horrible.

I'm running the latest betas on my iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch and all notifications are coming through no problem or delay (apps I use on the watch are also working fine, Carrot, HeartWatch, Pedometer++). My iPhone 7 Plus also isn't getting as hot as it did with the previous betas. Watch has had 1 spontaneous reset, battery life seems closer to normal.

I tried Dev beta1, 2 and 3 and they were horrible with so many issues. So far Dev beta4 was amazing with no issues for me. Battery life is not great, but I can live with that.
iPhone 7 here..

Plz let me know so the airpods volume on first 3 betas was so low on max volume i had to fo back to 10.3.3 with beta 4 is it same loudness or just better than beta 3 many thanks

Public Beta 3 is a massive improvement over the previous Public Beta 1 and Public Beta 2, on my iPhone 7 Plus.

The phone doesn’t get anywhere near as hot and appears to have better battery life. Also bugs I had with third party apps (eg. UPS, Yahoo Mail) have disappeared, despite the fact those apps have not been updated. The iMessage contact list bug where the first hit would be hidden is now fixed. And in general things just appear more stable.

Yes, I could use Public Beta 3 / Developer Beta 4 as a daily driver.

Using PB3 on my Verizon 6s. So far, minimal issues. I can definitely use this as my daily driver....should only get better going foward, too. PB2 was a hot mess for me, but yesterday's update fixed everything major that has hitting my device.

I can confirm the volume is definitely much better than beta 3 I think it is the same as iOS 10. try it out. This beta definitely a big step up from the previous betas. I don’t see me downgrading anymore.

Completely agree. Other than my battery life, which to be honest I can’t say for sure is worse than 10.3.3, it’s stable as all get out. Plus I’ve upgraded my watch to OS 4, so now I’m stuck with it.

Battery life I don't know yet but I have some issues. All apps are working fine on iPhone 6S. No issue at all. On iPP 10.5 however both Plex (perfect sound, no picture) and Ziigo Go TV (Dutch TV provider, choppy pictures but crystal clear) aren't working properly, Netflix however does so I guess it is an App compatibility issue...

My battery life has been horrific today. Very inconsistent.

Also when my phone rings and I answer it the phone continues ringing for a few seconds.

iOS 11 Is a great update and when it's done is gonna be amazing, specially on the iPhone 8 but the current os it's just faster and smoother i say wait

Is iOS 11 b4 decent as a daily driver, besides some minor bugs?

can you handle having your devices crash, wipe themselves, and not being able to get service for anything cause Apple will insist on you removing the beta which will likely remove the issue. (even for screen repairs cause the machines they use will brick the phone and you can't get a replacement since it was caused by the beta).

oh and there's also the potential to have your cell service just randomly cut out. tons of restarts, half your 3rd party apps not working and so on.

if the answer is yes, knock yourself out

fwiw i'm not having any of those issues aside from the occasional spinning circle here and there. it's fine as a daily driver.
