Surprised nobody noticed this yet - "Emergency SOS" is now enabled by default. Press the power button 5 times to bring up the Power Down menu with 'Emergency Call' on it, or it can be changed to automatically call.

Anyone done a Google search on safari yet? Something is different font wise. Idk. Can't put my finger on it. Or I'm losing it haha

I wouldn't say use it as a daily drive but what I would say is certainly wait for beta 7 and install that one since that is most likely to be the final version sent out to everyone.

I've installed it on a 2017 iPad, and it feels a bit clunkier and slower than iOS 10.

If you like the slick speed and smooth animations of iOS 10, DO NOT install iOS 11. Just don't. It'll probably get better before release, but right now it's just not there yet.

Again, this is a brand new, current device, not an older iPad. So there are *definitely* still performance issues.

If I used this iPad more heavily I'd probably revert, but for what I use it for iOS 11 is fine, and it lets me play with new features early.

How big is this update? Mine is showing 1.98GB?...Is it that big or is it because I skipped Developer Beta 5?
You got it with your guess! Once you skip, it does a full install. Otherwise, you just get incremental stuff.

When 3D Touching a Mail notification on the lock screen or in Cover Sheet, does the email render properly when looking at its preview? Especially those that may contain HTML?

On iOS10 you would just see a bunch of text when doing this. Reported it as a bug but was never fixed (worked fine in iOS9).

The email notification preview should look the same as basically when you Peek on an email in the Mail app using 3D Touch.

You only have to swipe up to see old notifications, which were previously inaccessible from the lock screen. So what you call “STUPID” is actually an improvement.
Before weren’t you able to swipe down form the lock screen to view notifications?

What exactly is different about the unlock animation? I didn’t notice any change
Before the lock screen just rose up, now the icons fly in like before

Not wanting to jump the gun but Beta 6 seems to be running pretty well. Early days yet I know!

Here's the animation in case anyone cares. They spin around now.

Waste of system resources, can useless stuff like that be turned off? No reason for them to spin.

using as a daily on my ipp and iphone 7+ . so far it seems less buggy then beta 5. Had a lot of issues with beta 5. Can't comment on battery life but it seems much more stable. not getting any random freezes or springboard reboots. Only been a few hours hope it stays this way.

I don't think so, although I could be wrong. Before iOS 11 only notifications that came in while the phone was locked were visible on the lock screen; if you wanted to see older notifications you had to unlock the phone and swipe down from the home screen.

And mine still rises up if I locked the screen in an app; I only get the icons flying in when I lock it from the home screen. Are you also seeing that?

iOS 10 lets you see all notifications on the lock screen as long as "Show on Lock Screen" is enabled for them.

The difference with the unlock animation is that the app icons "fly in" again. In previous versions of iOS 11 they were completely static.
