PIP video covers the UI buttons in multitasking (split view & slide over)

In beta 8 it partially covered the UI buttons. Now in beta 9 it fully covers the UI buttons.

I sent feedback suggesting that they raise the PIP video slightly so UI buttons are accessible but they lowered it instead. This is very irritating if you are trying to switch tabs or create new note or mail message etc.

Can't you just move the PIP video to a different corner of the screen?

Dammit. That’s like the most annoying thing for me haha. I use my calculator numerous times at work haha. Maybe beta 10? Lol
All I can say is that they've been working on my feedback regarding the calculator bug a lot (the date on it changes everytime they update something internally I think). Most recent datetime stamp on it is 31 Aug 00:48. I submitted it over a month ago.

Been wondering what it feels like to be on iOS 11.. does it give your phone a different feel. Or does it feel like same o same o...

On iPhone it’s basically iOS 10 with a customizable control center and the Notification Center combined with the lock screen. There are some map and Siri improvements, and some cosmetic changes like tweaked icons and bigger fonts in some areas. But it’s nothing earth shattering.

It’s a totally different story on iPad though. iOS 11 is like getting a whole new machine!

Is anyone else still having problems adding Dropbox attachments to emails?

Reported the bug on the last version and still I go through the normal steps and when I get back to the email the attachment is no where to be seen.

Not just me then.

I've added it to the first post.

Ta!

I'm wondering if this keeps happening because of the different vertical height on the new iPhones, and that they'll ship them with 11.0.1 with this bug corrected across devices. Happens very frequently across many apps with a search function for it not to be corrected, so my bet is it's addressed in the final shipping version.

I'm pretty impressed with performance on an old 5s with this beta

Surprisingly smooth! Anyone else feel similarly? Very welcomed, significantly improved over the first few betas which were chalk full of lag on the 5s

This is very good to know as my friend has a 5s that’s relatively new and was worried her phone would lag with iOS 11 but not worried now, thank you for reporting! :)

I’m assuming you guys are reporting these issues to Apple and that those who also say they got it also do a fresh report to them.

I know I’ll be reporting the safari selection bug right now.

I still do not have the one-handed keyboard option. Its been this way on every beta so far.

I hold down on the globe icon and there is no icon to pick the one-handed keyboard. Is this only for + devices? I was under the impression that everyone got it

It shows up on my 7 and I use it all the time. You need to have multiple keyboards enabled, though it sounds like you do since you have the globe button. If you go to the keyboard section in the settings app does it show up there as an option?

I have a new bug that pops up randomly: the whole status bar (the text) disappears. This can happen for one app only (I had it in mail only), all apps (every app I opened had it missing) or the lock/home screen (apps had it visible but going back to the home/lock screen hid it again). This also hides banners like screen recording.

Pretty annoying. Can anyone confirm?

//EDIT: This also seems to incoming notifications (you can still hear the sound and feel the vibration) and disable the swipe motions to get to the notification center.

Never had the issue. Try a reset and restore.

Does anyone else have this issue that I have on my iPad Air 2?

When I go to the today screen and swipe through the widgets, it almost always acts as though I've tapped on the widget and opens the relevant app. I'm forever winding up in the News app when I'm trying to swipe through.

Should I edit it into the first post in this thread?
Thats been an issue for a while now in iOS 10. If you do tiny swipes on the widget screen itll open the app.

where would I find that, would it be like adding a new keyboard? or is it something I turn on and off like auto correct?

Both actually. In order to quickly access the one handed keyboard from your regular keyboard, you must have at least two keyboards setup, for instance English and Emoji. Then you can tap and hold on the emoji symbol (or globe) next to the number button and it should give you an option for the left or right one handed keyboard. Alternately, you can toggle the one handed keyboard on or off in the Keyboard section of General Settings.

I don’t know for sure but I’m wondering if you have zoom enabled and if that means you don’t get the keyboard option?

Because I doubt the iPhone 5s/se get this keyboard option given their narrow screens, and the zoom option is basically reproducing those layouts on a smaller screen.

Check in setting, display & brightness, display zoom (bottom)

The email notification bug I've been reporting since Beta 2 seems to have been fixed on iphone 7 plus but it's still happening on ipad 9.7 pro
