Steve Jobs’ Apple has had major strings of quality failures like the first batch of PowerBooks shipping with a defective latch and whining fans. And many more. Please stop the revisionism.
It would seem they're still whining now!

This is what I've come to expect from Apple since Jobs death: everything they release seems to be a total disaster that should have never made it to market. Makes you wonder if they are thoroughly testing anything anymore or if part of their rollout scheme and a way to save money is to now roll things out not fully tested and have irate Apple users be their testing division so they hear from users how horrible their products have become. My iPhone6 is a total MESS since DOWNgrading to iOS11. Apple needs to fix ALL the issues with this OS. I've stopped counting everything on my phone that's screwing up, the list is THAT big.
This reminds me of downloading El Crapitan OS for my Mac. I had so many programs screwing up I was fortunate to be able to revert back to the previous OS. Now I'm terrified that any new OS will be another mess and refuse to download a new one until I hear from other users that the current OS is stable.
APPLE: what the hell happened to you? How could you completely lose sight of QUALITY and USER TESTING before releasing anything?? You are an embarrassment now.
I find that highly unlikely. My Air 2 on iOS 11 runs on par with my mother’s iPhone 6s on 10.3.3.
Its my way or the highway here with some members. If you are having a problem its the USER's fault. Apple is perfect and there are no issues. If you are having any issues switch to Android. Apple's sales indicate no one is facing any issues. You know... ah I am not going to bother. I gave examples why it isn’t just my experience and how it is more widespread than you think but never mind. I have to question why you’re here in the first place then if you’re apparently having no issues? While the title of this thread is abit hyperbolic, I do agree with it that it is the worst iOS version in terms of bugs and sloppiness I have experienced. And like I said, no, I’m not saying it is everyone’s problem, but there are more and more people reporting similar on a daily basis, even Apple enthusiasts like iJustine who don’t usually question Apple that much.
I did mention that in my post. I recall there being complaints about iOS 7, 8, 9, 10 etc. but from personal experience, iOS 11 seems to hold more merit with the experience I’ve been having with the notion that it is the worst in terms of bugs out of all of them. I can’t speak for 7 but I heard that was a s**tshow too, and that’s where I think the issues have steamrolled from since Apple redesigned it. It’s like it messed with the inner framework of the software and it’s been messy year after year ever since. There were some complaints about iOS 6 and prior too, but from experience I don’t recall as many performance issues or bugs when using those, and iOS 5 and 6 are still considered the pinnacles of iOS.
With iOS 11 though, there are countless YouTube videos, threads on here, articles from other sites, threads everywhere else saying how buggy it is and how it is the worst version they’ve ever used. So it’s not just from one persons ramblings who created this post. Will it get better? Probably, but having to wait for months worth of point updates just for a smooth sailing experience never used to be as prominent as it is now.

Although I realise your post is satire, it’s not that they’re getting old, it’s the thin fonts and blinding white space everywhere that they introduced with iOS 7 that have (literally) made them lose sight.
Seems like this could be rephrased as the following (given that it has been phrased in very similar ways with the past releases as well):I run both iOS 10 and 11 simultaneously on my devices and its just a feeling I get but when I use iOS 10 it feels as if the OS Is very light on the device and my device is ready to run circles around any task I throw at it. On iOS 11, it feels "heavy" as if its getting stressed running the OS. This hasn't been a very good release imo

Let me break it down for you. I bought iPhone 6 when I was on iOS 8. Performance deteriorated when upgrading to 9 and it was an okay upgrade to 10. I bought the iPhone 7 when I was on 10 and it was smooth performance right from 10.1. Now I have upgraded to iOS 11 and its the same story yet againYou say the same thing every year. You said it last year about iOS 9 vs iOS 10. You said it two years ago about iOS 8 vs iOS 9. You’ll say it next year about iOS 11 vs iOS 12.
There are hundreds of post by you as proof. You can’t make excuses to explain them off as something else, they’re there, for anyone to view.

iOS 11 isn't nearly the disaster that iOS 12 is going to be. You'll see! /s

and when you get the X we'll all be eagerly awaiting your face scan lag posts and links to YouTube videos
yep. iOS 11 is just sloppy.Agree. My 6 with 10.3 runs better than my iPad Pro 9.7 with iOS 11.
have any specific complaints that qualify as rating the software a disaster? This is what I've come to expect from Apple since Jobs death: everything they release seems to be a total disaster that should have never made it to market. Should never have to do this for a $1000 phoneNo issues here on my 8Plus or Air 2. Restore your device as new.
By the time the final release number so done, 12 will be out and again goes the merry go round.I agree, the quality control is most certainly lost. This isn’t just nostalgia or rose tinted glasses either but I don’t recall my iPhone 4 and 5 on their original OS’s lagging straight out of the box when I first got them. Do any of you? There was some small bugs but nothing on the scale of iOS 11’s s**tshow. Now we have to hope and wait for them to ‘smooth things out’ in months worth of point updates just for a smooth experience which shouldn’t be the case. It never used to be. It should run smooth straight out of the box. These are brand new iPhones running the supposed fastest mobile processors ever by the way. My belief is that it all started to go down hill when they redesigned it with iOS 7 in 2013 and we’re still feeling the effects of it that everyone’s complaining about today. It’s not just us tech geeks on these message boards, either, my mum says her phone has restarted several times and has been acting sluggish since updating. Even iJustine who is probably the biggest Apple fangirl out there has said it feels like it’s still in beta. I don’t see any of this changing unless Forstall comes back because that guy has a solid track record of putting out much better optimised software.
Not sure about this chorus you speak of. Considering the number of people they have gotten iOS 11 and have been fine or experienced minor bugs, I’d say you are adding to just a whisper. I don’t mean to diminish the issues you are experiencing, but you are blowing things way out of proportion when it comes to the number of people affected.No. Not really. Just adding the chorus of voices
People have had to do things of that nature with computers that cost many times more than that for years and years.Should never have to do this for a $1000 phone

Insanity bottom line. I will continue to refer back to the same famous theory: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting it to come out different"
If something is "so bad" then DONT BUY IT YEAR AFTER YEAR AND THEN WHINE AND COMPLAIN.
If you buy a lemon car are you going to go BACK and buy another from that car manufacturer to replace it?! Of course not, that would be the equivalent of banging one's head against the wall and not expecting a headache.
The year after year complainers need to go buy an Android phone and leave MR. They offer nothing to this forum of any value to any other member other than constant doom and gloom posts.
it is clear some here will NEVER be happy with iphone or iOS or just trolling from momma's basement all day; or a Samsung troll/shill.
Cant go to Android as it doesn’t have a smart watch or tablet
