You are making me jealous!!! I get 7 hours on moderate use and looking fearfully at the battery % while doing tasks.

Haha... I used to think my Sony Xperia z3 was good, comfortable 2 days but it does seem that the 8Plus will beat it. Maybe it was a special version of the iPhone for people leaving Android ;-)

I used to get this battery life on iOS 10. iOS 11 has halved it. I am starting to hate these OS updates honestly. Whats worse is that with my 7 hour battery life I end up charging it at 3PM again and its wasting my battery health.

Well good that Apple fixed it for iPhone 8 users but I am very dissatisfied with the way things have been going with my 7 Plus. I have tried everything but so far have only gotten a modest increase but its nowhere near what it used to be. I used to get 1.5 days battery life on iOS 10. I am also on 11,1 beta 2
Get one of these. I don't have to plug in to the "wall" for a week and never worry and don't have to be a wall hugger at the airport when travelling. Went overseas on vacation for a week and never used the power brick.

there is a HUGE difference between Plus iPhones and the small ones.

With 10.3.3 i was always over 8 hours of usage and now i cannot even get 5.

very disappointed

Best release that I've seen so far. IOS 254 will have a lot of bugs and I'm going to skip that one.
You could write these threads years before the software is ever announced let alone released.

that's absurb (and, in the spirit of this thread, allow me to correct you): ios254 runs perfectly, it's ios253 that is a total APPLE DISASTER...

Should never have to do this for a $1000 phone[/QD

Does'nt matter if its a $1000 phone or a million dollar phone. If you download a bunch of crap, you can mess up your phone.
In my family we have a 7+, a 6s+, and 2 ipad air 2's all running ios 11 perfectly.
I've seen other threads where people are saying apps take 10-15 seconds to open and that installing ios 11 made there iphones unusable.
My advice is to reset to new or take to the apple store, because you have broken your software by getting broken apps.

Lmao. This is the funniest thing I’ve read today. I have broken apps.

I dunno. My battery seems to be doing well.
I must not have broken apps. Lmao

The point is Apple markets their products as “it just works.” Then they should. They are an almost trillion dollar company with a ton of resources. Face it. We’ve become beta testers.
It’s a shame.

That’s why I’d rather wait every other year for an os update. Rushing to meet “September” month is just stupid.

I’d still be on ios10 if it wasn’t for me picking up an AW3

Thanks but my point was how iOS 11 is ruining batteries by resorting to all this. Batteries are being depreciated at twice the usual speed.
For some, not so much (or at all) for others. More or less in par with petty much any (in particular major) new version.

I can use my phone on a clean install without any apps and eliminate all other variables and yet battery life is the same.

Eh, battery life has taken a bit of a hit and CC toggles new behaviour is annoying but I’d hardly call it a disaster...
