Your contention is that there are no Android or Android compatible smart watches or tablets? Are you serious?

“Viable” Alternatives, I think is what he is suggesting

Apple Watch is kinda the smart watch king in a product type that still isnt perfected, even flawed and being hyped up product that didnt change the game its just a nice accessory and periodically useful and Apple did better than competition (I have and like and wear often my S0, just saying it still has a ways to go)

And iPad is definitely the de-facto tablet king, more importantly. Lots of android fans are still glued to their iPads

Oh yes, good smart watches and tablets, definitely. Not what was said though.

Yes. There aren't any proper smart watch or tablets on Android.

Why does the watch have to be Android? What’s wrong with Tizen on the watch? It’s Android-centric at least and you seem to like it

Its not just about the loss. That's only part of it. I am used to my Watch. I love it and cant live without it. I need a competent replacement before I switch. So far I haven't found one except for the Gear S3 which is good but it runs Tizen while I want Android Wear.

Damn it, this is hard.

Why do you think no-one but Apple can make a competent tablet?

And coming from Apple devices you think I would use substandard Android products?

Because Google is better than Samsung at making an OS. I have no idea if Tizen will even be supported or if it's just another Android Wear clone.

A researcher's take on Tizen

“It may be the worst code I’ve ever seen,” he told Motherboard in advance of a talk about his research that he is scheduled to deliver at Kaspersky Lab’s Security Analyst Summiton the island of St. Maarten on Monday. “Everything you can do wrong there, they do it. You can see that nobody with any understanding of security looked at this code or wrote it. It’s like taking an undergraduate and letting him program your software.

Is there any tablet on Android which is as good as the iPad Pro?

How could Samsung be doing such a poor job here? It’s a Fact that Samsung are more innovative, per you

But it's a fact nowadays. Samsung is more innovative than Apple.

Oh wait, according to this thread that no-one could reply to your Samsung Tablet was inexplicably not being updated and no-one knew or cared why

https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...dates-on-galaxy-tab-s2.2074487/#post-25158162

Such innovation.

How weird that the most innovative company can’t make anything acceptable to you, when the fundamentals arent handed to them by Google.

Yup. In phones they are. But they sadly don't have a tablet o Watch to match.

You are late. I already solved the problem by reflashig the firmware.

Huh and what's wrong with that? They each have their own specialties. THe modifications which Samsung does to Android are priceless to many.

What’s wrong with it? Well they apparently can’t make a competent enough watch or tablet to fee from the oppressive chains of Timmy’s forced obsolescence, laggy, stutter, overpriced, less innovative, bezel/notch hell, walled garden that you never tire of telling us how much you hate. Would you like me to quote you on each of those?

iOS 11 hasn't been perfect, but it's been pretty solid. The major annoyances for me have been random app freezes and graphical slowdowns that require toggling the display on and off, something I haven't experienced in previous iterations of iOS. I'm hoping this is a software thing and not a hardware thing.

Look I would be on the next train to Android if I got a proper tablet and watch. I like a complete ecosystem. Samsung's Tizen also doesn't have Google apps.

Although I am still considering an Android phone and breaking it up.

So Samsung, not in fact the blanket most innovative company then? You acknowledge that Apple have in fact innovated the only complete platform; phone, tablet, watch, computer that you find acceptable? Is that fair to say?

Apple has the best tablet and watch because for some reason no one in Android seems to want to compete with them. As far as phones go, Samsung seems to be better. They are coming out with a bendable phone next year and Apple is only now considering it. They already came out with a phone having a stylus while Apple is considering it. They have been using oled displays for years and Apple is only now cosndiering it.

Just like you I have no idea why they don't compete with the iPad Pro. Certainly looking at their phones, they should easily be able to make a 12.9 tablet with a Note 8 class oled display.

“Bye Felicia!”

I couldn’t help myself :)
Whoa whoa whoa. Slow down there. I am not getting rid of my 7 Plus if I go Android. I need something which works with my Apple Watch

Samsing just keep releasing those watches and tablets but they “don’t want to compete”. Could it be, in fact, that they can’t compete, because Google can’t release a competent competitor?

If Samsung release a bendable phone next year, one with no creases, no hinges, a contiguous screen that actually bends I will PayPal* you $100. You fell for a hilariously incompetent vaporware attempt to steal Apple’s thunder a day or so before the keynote. Good luck with that.

*Edit: Actually I’ll peer to peer Apple Pay you it. Lets be honest, despite your bizarre self-flagellation you’ll be Apple Watch, iPhone X, iPad Pro ;)

I think iOS 11 is definitely full of bugs, but I think it's because of the complexity of the new hardware and what the have to accommodate for between all of the older model phones and the brand new ones. It's hard to make software, even in bug tests, that actually are going to hit every single failure rate possibility on a grand scale. It's not a Steve Jobs thing, it's a larger scale operation now with more nuances and complexities in hardware and software than when he was around.

This is nothing new for Apple, the first major iOS release is usually bungled up and the later x.1 release clears it up for the most part. This is a major under-the-hood update without a lot of major features at the front.

I'm not defending it (it has the most issues of any release so far in recent memory IMO), but I recall iOS 10 have a plethora of issues close to launch as well. I don't recall too much around 8 or 9 but I don't remember them being that bad. Most egregious problems will get fixed soon enough.

It depends on what you need from a smart watch. Personally, Apple Watch is of little use as a Sports / fitness watch when compared to a Garmin Fenix 5 that can't accept multiple external sensors for bikes, HR straps, Running pods etc etc. The 14 days battery life means you're not constantly checking the battery level or switching stuff off to get through a multi day backpacking trip.

But, it's only relevant if it's main use is for sport. Notifications from Fenix 5 are far better on the iPhone when compared to Android. I much prefer the level the of control I now have with an iPhone 8+ compared to the Samsung s8.

If you don't intend to use it as a multi sport watch and need it more for apps etc, there is only one choice!

give us back 10.3.3 they have destroyed TERMINATED battery life ..

SHAME.
iPhone 7-128gb-11.0.3 clean install via DFU and set as new.

That explains it. iPhone 8 users wont have any problems with iOS 11. In that screenshot you linked my iPhone 7 Plus would be at around 25% at that time. Already clean installed like 4 times.

I had issues with battery on the IOS 11 but from 11.01 onwards it has been very good. Well, after leaving it a few days to settle down (indexing etc).

Well good that Apple fixed it for iPhone 8 users but I am very dissatisfied with the way things have been going with my 7 Plus. I have tried everything but so far have only gotten a modest increase but its nowhere near what it used to be. I used to get 1.5 days battery life on iOS 10. I am also on 11,1 beta 2

Maybe it’s something they are working on for the final release of 11.1?!? Hopefully!

Just to show how crazy battery I.S on the 8+ on beta 2, I’ve just snapped this screen shot now. It feels near on impossible to run out of power!
