I'm curious: how does this compare to a big new release of that Android? Not trolling, just genuinely curious.
I have a feeling Android must get its fair share of bugs as well, and they must be a real blast to figure out given the insane variety of hardware involved, manufacturer-customized versions, etc...
I was thinking about this earlier. My experience with android was always with samsung devices and the major updates i recall were not a universal update and went OTA by location and/or carrier network. I waited 4 months for Marshmallow, while other countries in europe recieved the update upon release.
I cant say if that effects the update experience or minimises issues per-say but i do recall both marshmallow and nougat updates (for me) were completely smooth and free of issues. The nougat update did remove a few key features from my s7 and added others but if i am honest i thought it was the smoothest in functionality and imo had the most beautiful android UI to date, however i may have been lucky in that the s7 had its curved edge panels which did tend to let that particular android version shine, however you only have to look at android forums to know that others were not so lucky or happy with their experiences. So...
I had been happily running android and iPad air2 then pro side by side and had everything i needed.
I switched to iPhone around 1.5 years back and was familiar straight away, i loved it and the way it synced with my other iOs devices was a revelation, suddenly my ipad could make & recieve calls at home while my iphone was in another room...I was completely sold. Also the stability and simplicity in iOS was refreshing, Android aint for everyone and can be a challenge.
I do have to say though that i do regret the update to iOS11. I find it buggy, not bothered so much though as i know this will be rectified. BUT i think it looks quite ugly and extremely dated now. I agree with the post above who said it appears “Unfinished” as this is what i also thought.
After the update finished and i was presented with the ‘unlock keypad’ for 1st time, i was shocked and initially thought something had gone wrong with my update. That keypad design is plain hideous, Why Apple?
Unfortunately this dated design (i dunno if they were aiming for some sort of Retro here but imo it fails big time) continued into the native apple apps and i just can not see me getting used to it. Its a major turn off. However this is subjective and i know others like it, so its swings and roundabouts at this point.
I dont know what to do tbh. Go back to 10.3.3 or move on to something new.
