If it’s not tomorrow, then it won’t be for another two weeks. Apple is closed the week of Thanksgiving and there has never once been a beta or public release during that week.

Ahh right. Here’s hoping for tomorrow!
I just am worried about getting a beta on my new shiny X! Although perhaps 11.2 is better optimized for the X than 11.1 is...

Beta 3 and 11.1.2 this week?

Beta 3 seems realistic this week as this week is the last week before a week nothing happens (Thanksgiving).

Apple needs to figure out what causes the cold issue. Is it a software side or (worst case) a hardware issue? This needs time especially if you only have a small sample size.So realistically we see a third beta for iOS 11.2, macOS 10.13.2 and watchOS 4.2, but no iOS 11.1.2.

They can release iOS 11.1.2 just for the iPhone X to resolve the cold issue, it doesn't need to be on all devices...

Again, they need to figure out what causes the issue. Is it a hardware issue (than no iOS update can fix that) or a software issue? You don’t find that out within days (that could take months).

Than you need to fix it (if it’s a software issue). Even than it might not be fixed at all. The problem has been present with earlier iterations of the iPhone that it refused to work under certain weather conditions. Typically in the past the issue was on the hardware side which forces Apple to change the device.

The smaller the sample size the harder it is to figure out the problem. If it was a larger issue, it is easy to reconstruct the issue and solve it.
