I don’t know, why a lot of users want a new beta right now. The macOS beta is a short stint (without a public beta test) as it is the release version for the iMac Pro. It only may contain the drivers for the new iMac pro.

We‘ll see a iOS 11.2.1 release with the HomeKit fix (maybe a fix for the Month 13 is out of bounds as well). But that’s it for this year...

Not typically in the US. Even every calendar starts with Sunday as 1st day.
Meh. Depends on who you asked. I’ve worked in restaurants for a decade and every single on started the week on Monday. It’s pretty subjective.

Yeah there is actually an ISO 8601 International standard that states Mon is, but not in certain countries (US, Canada, Australia) Even Apples own iOS calendar week is listed as "s m t w t f s " so one would assume thats the calendar they are working from. But really they stated early week and that can even change to next week or whenever they want. I remember one time something that was listed on their web site for a while as being due out end of October and a few days before, it was pushed out further. (Cant remember what it was exactly, it was a few years back) Anyway it will arrive when it arrives no matter what they sorta implied. :) But I suspect tomorrow may be the day! And hopefully, more importantly contains some fixes for some of this chaos in the iOS 11 branch.

Sounds like the plan was to get it out in the early part of the week, which is typically by Wed. Sounds like the idea was for it to happen on Tue. but something came up. Now it could still come out on Wed. or even later this week, and while that might not be "early" this week, it's still this week. Plans change for one reason or another often enough, it's just part of reality.

I wonder what this “last minute delay” is regarding to, do you guys think the delay is solely related to the HomeKit hack fix (which is what the main focus of this update is as we all know) which i could care less about to be honest because I don’t use HomeKit. Or perhaps this “last minute delay” is due to Apple improving the system performance in this update as well Aside from fixing the HomeKit hack? What I do care about is system optimization, bug fixes and performance improvement.

A 11.2.x build is very unlikely to have noticeable performance improvements. It’s a very minor update to address a few bugs. Most likely HomeKit and month 13.

That’s disappointing to hear but makes sense I guess, Oh well. On countlesss ocassions the time and top notch area info bar disappears and that’s just one annoyance I currently have on my iPhone X with 11.2, there are clearly numerous bugs that need to be fixed ASAP that’s why I was wondering what this “last minute delay” was regarding to, perhaps they took more time to squash some more bugs that affect the user experience with this “last minute delay”, regardless I hope we see the update today.

I'd be shocked if 11.3 were released before the New Year. Remember last year? The one prognosticator said 10.3 was being released in beta on (I think) January 5th and was going to have Theater Mode. It wasn't released for 2-3 weeks after that and no Theater Mode (that was on the Watch).

I look forward to the X.3 releases, as they do then to have more features released. No reason not to expect that this year, but we'll just have to wait.

I completely agree, though it seems iOS 11 hasn’t been following the rules too much. Also, everyone is acting like iOS 11 can only go to 11.3.x, but an 11.4 and 11.5 could happen. I know some of you will say no, that doesn’t happen and only happened once because of Apple Music etc, but that kind of reasoning just doesn’t fly anymore.

I agree with this, in concept, but it will be tough in reality. 11.3 likely will not be in final form until March. At that point, we're just over 2.5 months away from WWDC and the release of the iOS 12 betas. Pretty tough to get another one, let alone 2, .X versions in before then. But as you said, the only rule this year regarding Apple releases is that there are no rules!
