I disagree. I have had multiple issues with my phone and watch because of this. I lost a 445 day move streak. I’ve been awarded medals I have not earned. And medals that I have earned have vanished.
To be fair, do we know that that's directly behind those things?

Beyond that, those kinds of things, while certainly issues of their own, are not quite in the type of category that the continuous restart issue was and what was mostly feared when it came to that kind of thing repeating now.

There is no other reason for this to have happened. My activity app gave me a medal on 12/2016 for 500 days even though it was only day 50. My activity app says I have 873 days of data even though the calendar only shows 445. It awarded me medals for months that have zero data. And took away medals on months that I had actually earned them. This has happened on two devices. Mine and my girlfriend’s. Hers happened a day after mine. There is a seriously glitch when it comes to dates. The 2018 challenge appearing 12/28/17 is also evidence that time keeping is off.

All of the issues stem to that one thing. The device doesn’t seem to be “tracking” time properly.

I honestly don’t think there is an issue at all. If there is, it is probably in Low Priority. I work as an IT consultant and there are times that the log of a software can have funny errors ( e.g batch processing, etc.) but this will not affect any functionality. if the 13 month issue is like a y2k bug, then we should have experience it already here in Australia / New Zealand. It’s already January 2 and i haven’t experience any issue. The same with my friends.

Not necessarily. We have no idea when it could affect the devices. Only that it could. It could be 1/3. Or it could be 1/24. My guess is the release of 11.2.1 extended the date a couple weeks, thus allowing time for a full patch. But regardless, some users are experiencing issues.

Well, again, to be fair, a good amount of posts about that kind of thing did specifically make repeated references to Jan. 2nd, even when questioned about the particulars in relation to that date. There can certainly be something somewhere (that might yet to show up), but the repeated particulars of the specific date and the likelihood of the same level of problem appearing as before, those seem to have been something that didn't come to fruition (thankfully, in a sense).

it's just that the post about the 13th month bug seems to be very big. I think there are like 5 to 6 pages discussing it, like it's a very high priority bug.

And those post says January 1 or December 31.

In my opinion, it will be fixed, but I don't think we will see it anytime soon. Probably as part of 11.3 or future? but not before. It is still not a high priority bug for me. For example, out of 100 users, only 5 has issues, then it will be considered as low priority.

There's not necessarily any correlation between the size of a forum thread and whether Apple considers something a priority to fix. We don't know with any certainty if the month 13 logging is actually the cause of any of the problems that people say it causes.

But this was not on 1/1- 1/2 but back before the new year begun so not sure that would have anything to do with a date change to a new year or new month etc. But potentially just another kooky iOS 11 bug as we have seen a lot of since its release. Wonder if anyone on the beta experienced the same such behavior with their activities? Not seen any reports other than yours and Sunny's so far but he is on 11.2.1 also. Hopefully a 11.2.5 beta 3 release today or this week will finally address the Month 13 deal.

So I just opened developer.apple.com and got this... perhaps we'll see something today.
