iOS 11.x.x Release Speculation Thread

im just thinking they are gonna slightly change the build of beta 6 and release it to public next week include the siri fix.
 
Why is everyone expecting GM tomorrow? I’ve been out of the loop this week. Has it been hinted anywhere?

After Imessage in icloud in 11.3.. whats the best way to set phone as new?

Backup, update.. wait untill everything uploads on icloud... reset to factory and set up as new phone..and then wait for everything to load back on phone?

Pretty much. Thats what I do with health.
 
Probably GM or beta 7 (which will go on to be GM anyways) today. If not today then Monday!
 
beta 6 could easily be the final version too and they just slightly change the build next week and include the siri bug fix.

Perhaps, but the X.3.X version has had a beta 7 for the last few years that was different from beta 6.
 
They might not even release a GM, they might go straight to public release. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the final beta build of 10.3 was only around 400mb OTA and had a beta build number, so that wasn't the GM.

Fair, but 10.3 and 9.3 had a Beta 7. With the increased focus on software QA, I don't see them having less betas compared to prior year equivalent versions? Even if no GM issued, I'd still expect a Beta 7. If the event is in 4 days, and we expect 11.3 on that day or shortly thereafter (likely), either we get Beta 7 today, or likely straight to public from Beta 6 (unlikely).

im guessing 11.3 release is tuesday. new classroom software that uses 11.3 and new ipads being released that use 11.3 also.

Good point. But just because the iPads are unveiled (assuming the rumors of a release next week are true), doesn't mean they will be made immediately in stores, therefore 11.3 doesn't need to be loaded onto them in advance of next week, and Apple could have been continuing to refine 11.3. I would think if new iPads are released, they'll ship no earlier than next Friday or the following week. Meaning Beta 7/GM is what we will see today or early next week, and that will be the final public version that is loaded onto the new iPads that are then shipped out shortly thereafter.
