beta 7 today maybe?
beta 6 seemed like way too minor of an update to really qualify as a true official beta update. I could see 7 this weekExtremely unlikely given beta 6 is less than a week old and we had two last week. I would say next week.
How is it not ready?I really feel like they’re gonna pull iCloud iMessages. It’s just not ready.
Well if you look at the wiki on the beta 6 forum...How is it not ready?

I hope they won't pull it. I personally don't care about my syncing all my messages but having the ability to delete a message on one device and having it delete everywhere is so nice.I actually think they may pull it. Translated official release notes for MacOS update doesn’t show this functionality:

Me too. I'm really looking forward to being able to do clean installs without having to worry about my messages anymore!I hope they won't pull it. I did look at the release notes wiki for Beta 6 and that doesn't seem too bad. So what if there's a filesize reporting inconsistency? That can be fixed down the road. What's important is that it's released and everything is synced, right?Well if you look at the wiki on the beta 6 forum...
Well, I think the issues are enough for not releasing. Also, all message threads are not being restored. I have not updated the wiki for this issueMe too. I'm really looking forward to being able to do clean installs without having to worry about my messages anymore!

Seriously? So stupid. I mean, this shouldn't be hard. All photos/videos are syncing perfectly fine and has been without a problem since 2015's implementation of iCloud Photo Library. It doesn't make sense at all, what could the holdup be with Messages?Well, I think the issues are enough for not releasing. Also, all message threads are not being restored. I hear you. Hope they solve the issues soon. Here's a link to the post where I describe the issue.Seriously? So stupid. I mean, this shouldn't be hard. Just got this, which makes no sense, as it is an earlier build number than what's on my phone:

Nevermind. tvOS again. That twitter feed needs to differentiate better.
Where have you been for the last 6 weeks?
I feel like there’s gonna be a 7 Thursday or Fridayi wouldnt be surprised if we are done with 11.3 betas and public release is next. public release is same as beta 6. i would have expected beta 7 by now if we are to continue with the beta cycle. we are cutting it close to have another beta before the apple event next week if 11.3 is to be released by then.
It may be a 7 but I think it'll be coded as a Release Candidate build.I feel like there’s gonna be a 7 Thursday or Friday

And to those who say "iMessages in the cloud is not ready for prime time", remember one of the cardinal things about betas: they are not iterative improvements necessarily. It may well be that it does not work in the betas for reasons well known to Apple (and possibly intentionally). I'm not saying that to let Apple off the hook, but it is also not fair to think that the beta process is linear in terms of build improvement, either. In other words: have some faith that it may work just fine in the final release.

if icloud messages is not ready they can always release as is in 11.3 and improve it in 11.3.1
i 100% agreeiMessage in the cloud is a lot like iCloud Photo Library. This is something they have to get 100% right, because data loss would be catastrophic.
If they haven't gotten the bugs out I don't want them to release it. Even if they do I plan to keep it off until a few months go by to shake out the bugs. We're talking about years of message history here.
