it just occurred to me why there is a delay. Maybe they are making sure all the iMessage in the cloud servers are working or staging them in (some technical server reason) Imagine the outcry if everybody gets 11.3 and they lose their messages due to servers not working.

They’re hinting in the 11.3 thread that iMessage in the cloud got pulled from the GM because it’s not included in the release notes. Hope that’s not the case.

i have this feeling it will be released today based on the fact that apple music videos have gone live and new ipads are being delivered today running 11.3. release for other devices.
I have this feeling too. Very curious how our iCloud messages will handle everything if they have indeed removed it. Will the update recognize if we need to download the messages to our device first and do it automatically?

Let’s hope. :) If not today it’ll be next week.

If Apple did take iCloud messages out it could be because macOS isn’t ready as its still beta 7.

If iOS 11.3 truly drops today, then I have a strong feeling iMessage in the cloud is no longer in iOS 11.3. Otherwise macOS would need to drop at the same time.

Is it possible for macOS to have a beta and have it released as final (along with iOS) in the same week? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do seem to recall a beta and final release separated by just a couple days

It has never happened in the same week. It can happen on a Friday then Monday. But I have gone trough dozens of releases and it hasn't yet happened.
