iOS 11.x.x Release Speculation Thread

Probably. I’m annoyed that the Public Beta is falling so far behind the dev. Like really just release them the same day now it’s just minor tweaks no reason there should be several days in between I’m not permitted to have the dev profile on my device for work reasons but I’m just gonna do it bc the public betas that craps annoying waiting days and hours later just to get the same build. I get it with major releases and .X releases there’s a day to ensure public testers don’t get any hiccups but I got 11.4 beta 1 the day after at 1:00 PM EDT and not beta 2 I got nothing still and it’s annoying. Sorry rant over. I think I’m just gonna install dev profile. I don’t have time for this nonsense.

So far behind? Nonsense? It's a day behind, that's hardly anything and not that unusual or somehow detrimental.

No reason? Tell that to the guys who pushed out 8.0.1 (I think) that completely broke cellular and TouchID. Anything that reaches the general public has to be of enough quality to not brick said phones. Just cause it‘s a .4 release doesn‘t mean they can‘t goof hard, better safe than sorry.

You should be thankful that Apple waits a day to release the public beta in case they discover a massive bug in the dev beta. They do it like that for a reason.

Maybe switch to decafe? I think you are stressing a bit much over a software beta.

A public beta should be a stable build and not be edge releases that could potentially have massive regressions.

I write code for a living and trust me you don’t want the bleeding edge unless you are prepared to deal with major bugs.

Chances are 11.3.1 won't really resolve the "usual" iOS 11 bugs that some people seem to experience over the duration of all of iOS 11 basically.
