My Safari locks up when trying to enter text into certain fields. (I just reproduced it and it froze for 18 seconds) Don't know if that's the same issue or not. I think it may have started during 11.3 beta.

There is also a 3D Touch issue where it fails to work correctly after unlocking phone. Not sure if this has been fixed under 11.4 though.

What battery issues? What dark icons, and what lag?

Have none of the above.
My battery issue is that when I go to plug in most nights the vibrate/chime/acknowledgement thing doesn’t happen all the time and I need to reboot to get it to happen so it resets my usage and standby stats. Started with 11.3. And here is a screenshot of the “dark icon”. I still have this happen from time to time ever since I hopped on iOS 11 on 11.2.2 and to the current 11.3. Not much lag for me though. Once and awhile I’ll get a long hang but seconds later everything goes back to normal. Happened on 10.3.3 sometimes too.

I don’t have that battery chime issue. But I have never seen that dark icon before. How bizarre.

do you set up as new or restore from backups?
If you are asking me, I don’t set up as new. In fact I’ve been rocking the same backup since my iPhone 6.... but I haven’t had any problems up until now. I really don’t want to set up as new. I have too many pictures and settings... it would be a last resort. I’m just hoping when I update to 11.4 my problems are magically fixed. If not maybe a restore is due!

Yeah it’s no biggie. Just a weird graphical glitch. Sometimes my control center turns transparent too and I need to reboot. It usually happens after I’ve been toggling reduce motion on and off.

I had the battery chime issue for a while, I haven’t had it for a few weeks though. If it’s still happening to you, it’ll probably happen to me again at some point.

Would iOS 11.3.1 address those things? It seems that the messaging is in general that there are some issues here and there and some people encounter larger issues than many others, but it's basically a more general take on it in the sense that iOS 11 isn't as baked as it could or should be and still needs more updates (as is the case with even previous iOS, or really any other OS, versions).

It could have. No one knows what it may or may not fix until it is announced or released. The point being is there are a lot of remaining issues that need addressing and perhaps an 11.3.1 update could address some of these. As it turns out, it was just announced and released and does address the 3rd party display issue. So that's one off the list. :) Maybe others.

I have a dozen iOS 11.3 devices in my household. Not one experiences a single of those issues.

Always as new. Hence the reason why I have zero issues.
So I assume you live a lifestyle where you really don’t care about your messages

We’ve had this conversation before. I couldn’t care less. Anything I need I screenshot and save on my computer. I purge my message threads weekly. There is absolutely nothing in there that is worth saving. I will never go back and read/reference them. It’s a waste of space and clutter.

Nice 11.3.1, like I said.
And I’m willing to bet that all the reasons why you said we need it won’t be addressed. This update is to address one specific issue and probably a few security holes. Unlike other updates. This one doesn’t even say bug fixes and performance improvements.

Question though - you don’t need to answer if you don’t want to.

What’s the point in keeping the messages? Will you ever go through thousands of messages? It’s not like there is a proper search function that actually works.

For my part , i have the floating icons , and the 3D touch that doesn't work after unlocking.
My battery also often get stuck at 93% when plugged , I have to restart the phone.
All this on iPhone X.

youre honestly 100% right unless you have important information that you need to reference later but to your point screenshot them and put em in icloud drive
