FYI, @iOSReleases on Twitter is a bot indeed. It fetches info from Apple's servers and it is developed by Callum Jones, who is also the author of ipsw.me. I know it didn't tweet about today's release, you know, bots don't always get it right, especially when they get info in an unofficial way. However, it is pretty reliable most of the times.

Who needs bots and Twitter when you have a developer account!

No, there is purposely lead time to give any unforeseen issues a chance to materialize before unleashing it on the public.
The way you've answered that quite broadly makes me wary, as tbh I know many dev and public betas have launched on the same day. However I wasn't sure if there was a difference between major x.0 and minor releases or if there was a typical number of unsynced betas first, which is why I asked. If you could make a clarification e.g. that what you said always applies to x.0 releases I'd be more willing to accept it- otherwise i know it's just wrong, sorry.

Edit, don't worry another user already gave me the goods.

I posted numerous examples earlier in where he is incorrect. 3 iOS 10.0 betas and 1 iOS 9.0 beta had PB come out the same day as DP.

For my own sake because I'm an idiot and entered into a silly argument with you and was immediately embarrassed and cringing at the thought of seeing a reply. I still won't go back and check lol. Sorry. moving on :D

Oh I don't even remember lol

I like our back and forth, please don't ignore me!

Damn shame. I know it's a beta, and we should expect behavior that's sub-par, but the battery life is god awful. Worse than normal for an early beta.

I'm not noticing any problems. For me, this is by far the best early beta experience I've had since I started testing them in iOS 6.0. It's solid enough that I haven't even been anticipating a new beta.

I feel like beta 2 got better after a while. Haven’t gotten any resprings today. No issues. Working fine so far. I wonder if they’re tweaking backend stuff.

I feel the same. I had over 5 hours of usage time on one charge on my 6s yesterday. I still see glitches in the Music card on the lock screen, which I have reported via the Feedback app, but few big issues.

I don't have any resprings, but Apple's own first party applications seems to be bugging in the background destroying my battery life. The past two days "App Store" manages to drain my battery from 90% down to 30% during the night. A reboot, force shutting the "App Store" app etc doesn't seem to help one bit.

Stability is decent enough, it's the battery that is killing me. Normally my iPhone 7 Plus would last me two days before I need to charge. Now with iOS 11 Dev Beta 2 I have to charge it twice per day. And my Apple Watch Series 2 is even worse running watchOS 4 Dev Beta 2. My iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2017 model is doing fine, but it also looses battery way faster than normal.

I have the same issue with App Store. Fully charged this morning, App Store has been on for 1 minute and drained 61% the last 7 hours.
