It would be impossible for me to prove as the articles have all been pulled. But it has happened at least once per iOS cycle since iOS 7. It happened with iOS 11.x.x this year, and pretty sure it was a 10.3.x last year.
Nonetheless I think we very well could see 11.4 today. It’s been a couple weeks since beta 6 and wouldn’t surprise me if that was the final build and they are making that the official release

I honestly don't see it happening. I see a final beta being seeded until after WWDC. In which they will discuss ClassKit again and release it all together as the "press release" stated.

I would like to be wrong, but it doesn't make sense to say June, to release it in May.

Maybe you need help with the definition of wrong? I never claimed anything. I said it doesn't make sense and don't see it happening.

I really don't understand why these conservations cannot be civil. Its always pointing fingers and blaming for talking freely. Its why I've been quite absent from here lately.

Oh and please point out where that article says 11.4 is coming today. Only date is June 18.

Anyway it is now on the front page and in the verge : Out today.
Can someone please point to a source in which Apple is confirming that its coming today. Everyone is claiming Apple has confirmed it. Verge, MacRumors, Buzzfeed. Yet, Apple's own press release posted above mentions nothing about it coming today.

I mean come on. If you want to speak freely and claim things at least own up to being wrong when you're wrong. There's nothing wrong with being wrong about a guess, but you clearly said "I honestly don't see it happening. I see a final beta being seeded until after WWDC." This statement, guess or not, is incorrect with the information we currently have. So, if anyone needs a refresher of the definition of wrong, it may be you.

I don’t know how the article can say “now delivers” with a “free software update” if they had no intention of releasing the above mention free software update now...

Because the entire release says June 18th. Every past press release for iOS updates has mentioned "starting today" or "later today". That is absent in this press release.

It says, "HomePod is available in the US, UK and Australia and arrives in Canada, France and Germany starting June 18.". It didn't say iOS 11.4 will be releasing June 18.

Does it say iOS 11.4 is releasing today? You won't find it in the article.

Updates are usually out at 2-3am locally. That’s in another 30-90minutes.

Fingers crossed for iMessage in the cloud lol

Because you still don't know the difference between fact and opinion. I never said I was against dark mode, I said claiming that its the most needed feature to use your device at night is an opinion and not a fact.

Just curious, do you read novels in bed? That white background in a dark room pains my eyeballs. Not to sound condescending, just saying. So does web browsing. White on black is very pleasing in the dark

Yes and I do. I posted earlier that I physically cannot read white text on a black background. I get an instant migraine. I have chronic migraine. Thats why I keep sayings its opinion that its needed, because some people, including myself cannot use such a thing. Therefore to say it is needed is just wrong. Its wanted - not needed. Opinion vs. fact.

"White on black is very pleasing in the dark". Thats an opinion. My condition would beg to differ.

Just out of curiosity, why do you need/want to keep your messages for so long? Most of them are just simple bits of information, becoming irrelevant a few days or weeks later. Or do you use them for work/business stuff? Then emails might do a better job, as you keep the whole exchange thread there automatically.

Sometimes it's fun to go back to message threads you were having with your girlfriend shortly after you met her. Primarily that sort of thing.

I couldn't care less about the majority of message threads. Maybe I should just archive the few that I do to save space.

This is what I’m reading...

Today, almost four months after the HomePod’s release, HomePod users can access the new features through a software update available through the Home app in iOS 11.4, which includes AirPlay 2, Apple’s wireless audio technology that enables HomePod pairing. HomePods can now sync with other HomePods or third-party, AirPlay-2-enabled speakers, and play music throughout your home. Bose, Sonos, Beats, Bowers & Wilkins, and Libratone are some of the companies that have announced AirPlay 2 compatibility for current and upcoming speakers.

Is anyone here testing MacOS High Sierra 10.13.5 simultaneously with iOS 11.4? Any major issues between the two?

Except the word "Today" Is not listed in the article. You added that yourself. Thats my point. Nothing says today.

Apple’s AirPlay 2 with multiroom audio streaming and stereo HomePod pairing is here - The Vergehttps://apple.news/AQfKjdf9cTN6CM0mvZIysqQ
Says releasing today and includes iCloud messages and Airplay 2.
