Because I think *this* makes a heck of a lot more sense. I want my apps to be easily reachable, plain and simple. I find it very annoying to try and reach apps in the upper left corner of the screen.

Not to mention the fact that some people use wallpapers with specific text/images and it’d be nice to have the option to arrange app icons *around* the wallpaper, like you can do with a computer desktop.

Totally agree. With such big phones it's stupid to have all the icons along the top. There is a website called makeovr.io that helps, but it is tedious to setup and not ideal. But it works great and you don't need to jailbreak. I have all my icons across the bottom and right side for easy reach. They also are placed around a picture for my wallpaper. The fact that Apple has gone 10 years without addressing this issue, other than the the reach feature, is absurd.

This is the intended behavior. It just disconnects from whatever it’s currently connected to, but Bluetooth remains on.

I agree, it’s dumb.

Umm having Bluetooth "on" but not connected doesn't hurt your battery so why not just leave it on?

The way Bluetooth works these days is the Bluetooth device actually looks for your phone instead of your phone constantly looking for a Bluetooth device to connect to.

I leave Bluetooth on 24/7 and I get great battery life. It's not like the old days of Bluetooth. It's efficient now.

Not sure where you are getting that from. Go to the bluetooth pane on your iPhone, you will see its searching for devices under your current devices. Additionally, leaving bluetooth will drain your battery if you have a mac or iPad, as its always looking to use continuity. You can always see bluetooth connecting and then disconnecting. This definitely hurts battery life.

I thought they always released at 1pm EST (like you are saying). Is that still the case?
More times than not it is still the case.

Apple's release schedule over the last 10 years has been weird. iOS 2-6, betas could be released any day of the week up until 5PM PDT/PST. Sometimes even Friday night at 5PM PT. Once iOS 7 hit, they went to the more traditional 10AM PT release. We have had a few curveballs this year, but it still sticks to the 10AM most of the time.

It’s draining my battery daily so bad!
Nope BT 4.0 LE and later is energy efficient and uses a negligible amount of battery. You can still turn if off in settings if you wish but the control panel option has been redesigned for a different purpose. (same with wifi). But I suspect you will see zero difference in battery life in real world use between it being on and not used and off.

I'm excited for Beta 4 as much as the next guy but I don't expect we'll see exciting changes anymore.
